1. Downpayments are taken from customers as an advance amount for manufacturing goods. This amount is determined based on the customer's order and can be used similarly for vendors as well.
2. To customize bank passbook printing settings for different banks, go to transaction code F110 and maintain the print variant for each bank.
3. In SAP, the maximum number of posting periods that can be created is 16, consisting of 12 normal periods and 4 special periods.
Job aid for taxpayers how to use the e bir-forms packageraissarobles
The document provides instructions for taxpayers on how to download, install, and use the eBIRForms package for filing taxes offline. Key points include:
- The eBIRForms package allows taxpayers to fill out tax forms offline on their computer and includes validation features and automatic computations.
- To install, taxpayers download the setup file from the BIR website or a BIR e-lounge and run the installer. They can then open tax forms to fill out.
- Features include filling in fields, using dropdowns and radio buttons for input, and viewing automatically computed fields. Forms can be saved, printed, and filed through accredited banks or BIR offices.
Amazing how the BIR makes it more difficult for taxpayers to file their Income Tax Return! Seriously, does anyone still use Internet Explorer? Good grief!
Here are some key points about FI organizational structure in SAP:
- The top level entity is the client, which represents the company.
- Below the client is the operating concern, which represents the legal entity or group. There can be multiple operating concerns under a client.
- Controlling areas are used to separate responsibilities for planning, budgeting, reporting etc. There can be multiple controlling areas under an operating concern.
- Company codes represent individual companies or plants. They are the lowest level for accounting and are mandatory.
- Business areas can be used to separate divisions, regions etc. for reporting. Multiple business areas can be assigned to a company code.
- Profit centers can be used below
This document describes how to analyze goods receipt/invoice receipt (GR/IR) clearing accounts in SAP at a specified key date to generate adjustment postings if necessary. The transaction selects open items in GR/IR clearing accounts and creates adjustment postings in a batch input session if the open items do not balance out to zero per purchase order and item. This ensures goods delivered but not invoiced and goods invoiced but not delivered are displayed correctly in financial statements. The example provided prepares a clearing for GR/IR balances at June 30, 2002 by generating adjustment postings with a specified document date and posting period.
The document outlines several major differences between SAP ECC and SAP S4HANA Finance. Key differences include:
1. Indexes and total tables have been converted to CDS views and consolidated into the ACDOCA table.
2. Foreign currency revaluation functionality has been updated with new transactions codes and features.
3. Currency configuration options have increased from 3 to 10 currencies in S4HANA.
4. Changes have been made to master data, including consolidation of customer, vendor and G/L account functionality.
5. Credit management is now mandatory and located in FSCM rather than SD.

End-to-end pipeline agility - Berlin Buzzwords 2024Lars Albertsson
We describe how we achieve high change agility in data engineering by eliminating the fear of breaking downstream data pipelines through end-to-end pipeline testing, and by using schema metaprogramming to safely eliminate boilerplate involved in changes that affect whole pipelines.
A quick poll on agility in changing pipelines from end to end indicated a huge span in capabilities. For the question "How long time does it take for all downstream pipelines to be adapted to an upstream change," the median response was 6 months, but some respondents could do it in less than a day. When quantitative data engineering differences between the best and worst are measured, the span is often 100x-1000x, sometimes even more.
A long time ago, we suffered at Spotify from fear of changing pipelines due to not knowing what the impact might be downstream. We made plans for a technical solution to test pipelines end-to-end to mitigate that fear, but the effort failed for cultural reasons. We eventually solved this challenge, but in a different context. In this presentation we will describe how we test full pipelines effectively by manipulating workflow orchestration, which enables us to make changes in pipelines without fear of breaking downstream.
Making schema changes that affect many jobs also involves a lot of toil and boilerplate. Using schema-on-read mitigates some of it, but has drawbacks since it makes it more difficult to detect errors early. We will describe how we have rejected this tradeoff by applying schema metaprogramming, eliminating boilerplate but keeping the protection of static typing, thereby further improving agility to quickly modify data pipelines without fear.

Open Source Contributions to Postgres: The Basics POSETTE 2024ElizabethGarrettChri
Postgres is the most advanced open-source database in the world and it's supported by a community, not a single company. So how does this work? How does code actually get into Postgres? I recently had a patch submitted and committed and I want to share what I learned in that process. I’ll give you an overview of Postgres versions and how the underlying project codebase functions. I’ll also show you the process for submitting a patch and getting that tested and committed.
