1. The document provides instructions for making flower crowns out of felt that would be suitable for a little girl's fairy or princess party. 2. It describes how to make four different felt flower types - rolled flowers, reverse rolled flowers, rosettes, and circular box flowers. 3. Once the flowers are made, the crown is assembled by gluing the flowers onto a metal or plastic headband, layering felt leaves between the flowers to cover the glue.

1. Every little girl love crowns and you can't beat one made from bright colourful flowers. (I'd actually LOVE
to wear them, but outside of a any festival I'm pretty sure you can't get away with wearing one as an
adult. Sigh... ;)
I've been busy making these beauties for a market at the end of the month so I thought I might share
them with you. They'd be perfect for a little girl's fairy or princess party.
You Need:
Felt
Metal or plastic headband
Hot Glue Gun
Scissors
Needle and Thread

2. The crowns I make have four different types of felt flowers so I will show you how to make each one
before putting the whole thing together.

3. Rolled Flower
1. Folder a rectangular strip of felt in half. (the longer the strip the larger your flower will be).
2. Cut strips along the folded edge. Try to cut about 3/4 of the width but be careful not to snip too far.
3. Holding the uncut side, roll the flower tightly.
4. Use a needle and thread to secure the end in place.

4. Reverse Roll Flower
If you managed to complete the first flower, you'll have no trouble with this one. It is exactly the same
except in step 2 you will cut the non-folded side.
1. Folder a rectangular strip of felt in half. (the longer the strip the larger your flower will be).
2. Cut strips along the non-folded edge.
3. Holding the uncut side, roll the flower tightly.
4. Use a needle and thread to secure the end in place.

5. Rosette
1. Cut a square of felt (mine was 7cm x 7cm). Cut one long strip evenly from the outside to middle.
2. Begin rolling your felt from the inside, keeping the base relatively flat as you roll.
3. Keep rolling, rolling, rolling....
4. Stitch the end in place.

6. Circular Box Flower

7. 1. Cut 5 circles of felt.
2. Lay one circle flat, fold another in half and place it on top.
3. Use a needle and thread to put a small stitch in the middle of the folded circle.
4. Fold another circle in half and lay it over the other circle. (half of the circle should overlap). Stitch.
5. Repeat step four exactly as step five, making sure you layer half of the new circle over half of the
previous.
6. Fold the last circle and layer half over the top circle as in steps four and five. The other half of the
circle is tucked under the first. (just like you would fold the top of a cardboard box).
Right if you're still with me you're ready to put together your crown. I cut some leaves out of another
piece of felt to help cover the glue and support the flowers underneath.

9. 1. Put a strip of glue through the middle of the back of one flower and press the metal band into it.
2. Place a felt leaf underneath the first flower and along the metal wire.
3. Position and glue the next two flowers on top of the leaf.
4. Keep layering flowers on top and leaves on the bottom.
5. Before you finish check that all the glue has been covered by leaves underneath, if it hasn't add
another tho cover any spots.
6. Ta da!! Finish 
