Feeding America is an organization that donates food to those in need in the New River valley community. The author and other students from LEAP spent a day at a Feeding America storage facility packing food boxes that were later distributed to local food banks. The experience taught the author about helping the community and introduced them to new friends while providing food to approximately 1,000 people in need.

2. Feeding America
 Feeding America is an organization that
donates food to those in need in the New
River valley community.
 In this service project me and other students
from LEAP spent a day at a storage facility
packing food into boxes which were later
distributed to the local food banks around
the community.
 It was a great experience as I knew I was
helping out the community and I also made
new friends.

8. Spending the day at Feeding America
taught me the importance of giving
back to the community. Many people in
our generation don’t realize the impact
they can have on those in need. In that
one day my friends and I supplied food
to approximately a thousand people.
Everyone needs to give back to their
community even if it is only one day a
year
