Camp Chambers continued its mission of enriching youth lives through education, mentoring, and community service despite the challenges of COVID-19. Some of its accomplishments included providing school supplies for students, making over 1500 masks for the community, partnering with a food bank to feed thousands of families, cleaning up a forgotten neighborhood, and delivering Christmas baskets to families in need. BTS 2016 Post Release FINAL
BEAM held a successful Back to School event that served almost 800 children from low-income families in the Jacksonville area. The event provided backpacks, school supplies, clothing, shoes and other necessities. It would not have been possible without the support of over 200 volunteers and local organizations that donated food, drinks and supplies. Volunteers remarked that the gratitude and smiles of the families and children made the event rewarding. BEAM continues to help families in need through food assistance, educational programs and other services throughout the year.

The Indianapolis non profit arts community generates $468 million for the local economy annually, supporting over 15,000 jobs. For every $1 invested by the city in the arts, $5 is returned to the local economy. The Indianapolis Children's Choir is among the top 10 largest performing arts organizations in Indy and relies on contributions for nearly half of its $1.3 million budget. The BIG FUN EVENT is an annual fundraiser that includes a silent auction, live auction, raffle, dinner, dancing and choir performances to benefit the ICC's community outreach and tuition assistance programs.

CAFOD was formed in 1960 as a charity to provide overseas development aid and launched a new campaign called "Thirst for Change" in 2012 to provide access to water and save lives around the world. The campaign will help people, families, and children stay alive through access to clean water, which can save lives with just one glass and means a lot to poor communities. People can help by donating money or unused items like food or clothes.

Las Lomas High School - 2010 Jefferson Awards Students In Action Presentation
Students In Action is a national youth volunteer leadership, recognition and reward program, designed to pass the tradition of service on to the next generation.
Co-developed by Jefferson Awards for Public Service and Deloitte, it is now in over 250 High Schools.
Each spring, Student Leaders from the participating schools compete in regional competitions. They are asked to report on the implementation of the program, and the impact they've had, both in their schools and within their communities.

Gulf Coast Humane Society
The Gulf Coast Humane Society was founded in 1945 in Corpus Christi, Texas by animal lovers led by Frances Weil. It originally operated out of a facility purchased in 1947 but moved to a larger, donated facility in 1998. The Society acts as the humane officer for the county and works closely with local police on animal cruelty cases. It relies on donations, fundraisers, and adoption fees to care for the animals in its shelter and operate its programs.

Girls education in developing countries
Girls in developing countries often do not complete their secondary education. This leaves children vulnerable to poverty, hunger, and violence. The authors made flyers and went door-to-door in their neighborhood to fundraise for girls' education. They were able to raise $20.61 and some donations of noodles to support providing education to children in need.

They helped build a protective wall around a primary school playground, constructed vegetable gardens to provide healthy food for local families, distributed gifts donated by sponsors to sponsored children, and facilitated a workshop for 22 Blessed Children. The trip strengthened cultural and spiritual connections between members and deepened their commitment to supporting the people of Senegal.

Pope Francis calls Catholics to experience real poverty and sacrifice during Lent in order to help others in need. He asks believers to give up luxuries and spend money to enrich the lives of the poor. The school community will have two "fasting days" where students eat a simple meal of beans and corn instead of the regular menu, donating the cost savings to a school in Mozambique struggling due to drought. Pope Francis wants Catholics to experience a charity that costs something and causes discomfort, to better understand the real suffering of the poor.

TVM scholars from two middle schools helped raise awareness of volunteerism on Veteran's Day by working at the Alameda County Community Food Bank to prepare food bags for organizations supporting families with emergency food needs. The scholars appeared on a local news station to kick off a Thanksgiving food drive benefitting the food bank. With the help of local sports team cheerleaders and a news anchor, the TVM volunteers prepared food for over three hours for those in need. TVM is a Union City organization focused on academic excellence, cultural awareness, financial literacy, and healthy living for youth and families.

The organization is working to expand its new warehouse facility to meet ongoing food needs and serve more families into the future. Community support through donations, volunteering, and events helped make this all possible.

- 4. Masking Up In Memphis March 2020 – Present Over 1500 mask were provided to the community and beyond at no charge. Camp Chambers was featured in the Tri-State Defender, Memphis’ black owned newspaper. Mask making continues in 2021!
- 5. Feeding a City in Need April 18th & 25th, May 2nd, 9th, 16th 23rd & 30th, 2020 Camp Chambers and Thomas Chapel MB Church partnered with the Mid-South Food Bank to provide food for thousands of families in need during the pandemic.
- 6. Southern Hospitality June 13, 2020 After seeing a report on the news of our neighbors further south in Jonestown, MS living in a food desert, we reached out to help. Once again our supporters stepped in, donated and traveled with us to Jonestown, MS where we partnered with the Mid-South Food Bank to help our neighbors in need.
- 7. Project 38128 - James Subdivision Clean Community Initiative July 7- 9 & July 14 -16, 2020 Youth were employed to help restore a forgotten and debris ridden community! Thanks to the Camp Chambers Clean Community Initiative Crew, pride and beautification was restored to the community!
