The music video for "Tides" by Feed The Rhino intends to promote the song and tell the story about a man going through a mental breakdown. It shows the band members as caring friends trying to help their friend, trekking through snow to reach his trailer, but finding he has already taken his own life. The video relates the lyrics about being alone through this storyline and uses abstract imagery throughout to depict the man's pain and descent into insanity.
I worked on this presentation independently. The objective was to promote a particular artist of choice by creating a unique powerpoint that would sell the artist to the audience.

TYPICAL OF GENRE Typical-
The video involves anger and pain
Fire is used frequently
The song is about his family friend getting hurt
Abstract imagery is used throughout
The character in the video seems to be going
more psychotic
References to the failure of god
Different
The band isn’t actually playing in it, just Lee
singing in the first half of the song
This is specifically strange in the guitar solo, as
you don’t see the guitarist at all.

WHO IS THE TARGET AUDIENCE Fans of the band already
Anyone who isnt necessarily into hardcore
music, but likes ballad parts
people of around 14-30 years old
WHY WOULD THIS APPEAL TO TARGET
AUDIENCE
It appeals to the audience because
everyone likes to see people attempting to
help. The walk they go on symbolizes what
they would go through for friendship.
However even then it can always be too
late
