with me. It likes playing with a ball very much. It is very
clever. Sometimes it is very naughty.

Have you ever heard about bekantan? Well, I will
tell you about it.
Bekantan is one kind of monkey in the world. It is
only live in the borneo island or well known as
kalimantan. It lives inside of the jungle.
Bekantan has special features than other monkey.
It has a different shape of nose. It hunts the food
by group.
Nowadays, bekantan is rare. There are many hunter
chase and sell this in the black market. Though,
indonesian government forbidden them but they
still do it. So, as young generation what will you
do??? Of course we must keep the bekantan in
order to take care of them from the extinction.

14. Note:
Characteristic of descriptive text
 Use Present tense. E,g: go, eat, play
 Using any kind of adjectives that will describing the
object, using numbering, and classifying. E,g: Two
strong legs, Two eyes.
 Using thinking verbs ( think, believe, etc) and feeling
verbs to describe the author opinion about the subject.
 Using adverbs and adjective to show behavior or the
nature of the object.

16. My Hamster called Dion
I have a hamster. It is small and cute. I give him a name,
Dion. I bought him last month when I visited Jogjakarta. I
really love him.
Dion has 3 different colors, white, orange and black. His
eyes and ears are small. He always squeaks in the time I
come close to his cage. Every morning I feed him. Dion
likes to eat some grass and leaves. I take the grass from
the field near my house. Dion looks happy to eat it.

17. MY SPHYNX CAT
My Sphynx cat is the only pet I have. He has a little hair but is not
totally hairless as he has a peach fuzz over much of his body. His coat is
often a warm chamois. My Sphynx has a normal cat proportion.
I like his tail although my mom say that it is like a rats tail. I love his
usual color varieties including, tortoiseshell, chocolate, black, blue,
lilac, chocolate etc. He is really an amazing cat. Believe it or not, he is
very intelligent cat. He can respond my voice commands.
He is really funny as well as my friends get a joke. I love him so much
as I love my mother.

18. I have a pet. And my pet is brazil turtle. I called him Chacky. Chacky
come from the southern United States. Many people called
chacky as “turtle red-ear slider”. It because he has red fibre behind
his eyes that resemble red ear. I got chacky from a pet store when his
age 3 weeks.
Chacky has a beautiful green and yellow shell. Beside that, Chacky
has four legs and one long tail. Chacky like eating, and his favourite
food is “kangkung”. I like to see him when he eats his foods. Beside
that, I like to see him when he walk on the floor, it always make me
laught. He is a cute pet, and I think I love him because that. Chacky is
a good pet I’ve ever had.

19. Tips How To Write Descriptive Text
1. Choose the topic that you want to describe. It can
be person, animal, or place.
2. Find the information about the topic.
3. Make the draft.
4. Use the adjective. You can compare your topic with
the other one to make your topic more interesting.
5. Use the simple sentences.
6. Write it into a good paragraph.
7. Add some pictures. That’s can make you
descriptive text more interesting.
