A descriptive text tells what something or
someone looks like. It describes people, animals,
places, or things in detail.
Example:
“My cat is small and white. It has blue eyes and
soft fur.”
What Is A Descriptive Text?

someone

Parts Of A Descriptive Text
• Adjectives (beautiful, small, tall, friendly)
• Simple Present Tense (She is tall. He has short hair)
• Linking verbs (is, am, are, has, have)
• Specific nouns (my cat, the library, Mr. Daniel)

My Best Friend
Identification:
My best friend is Gugu. He is my classmate, and we have
known each other since elementary school.
Description:
Gugu is tall and skinny. He has curly black hair and brown
eyes. He is kind, cheerful, and smart. He likes drawing and
listening to music. Every morning, we go to school together.
I’m happy to have Gugu as my best friend.
