Teaching Project: Chronic Disease in Adults
Directions: The Food and Nutrition through the Lifespan Teaching Project consists of organizing the class
into teaching groups. Each teaching group will have a specific nutrition topic to teach the class. Each
teaching group will develop a PowerPoint presentation that will educate the targeted population
(classmates) on an assigned chronic disease. Include a two question quiz at the end of each presentation.
During each teaching group’s presentation, you are expected to take notes. Final grade is determined by a
combination of individual and group grades. Quiz grade is a separate assessment grade.

the assigned disease, ___

allowed), ___
15. references sited in APA style at the end of the presentation (before the quiz), ___

Each teaching group will have a specific nutrition topic to teach the class.
