This document summarizes the results of a competition for students and young people across Europe to propose ideas for using satellite technology to improve agriculture and reduce environmental impact. The competition had numerous entrants from 17 EU countries. The top three prizes were awarded as follows:
3rd prize of €1,000 went to "Space Junk" for a proposal using Copernicus satellite data fusion to define farm management zones. 2nd prize of €3,000 went to "TREASURE" for an innovative idea to use Galileo for automated crop transplanting. 1st prize of €5,000 went to "Teagasc" for a prototype app called "FODDERApp" that focuses on practical issues for farmers to manage
