Fantasy is a subgenre of fiction that focuses on fantastical or fictional aspects derived from the Greek word meaning "making visible." This can include magic, supernatural elements, alternate worlds, mythological heroes, and magical creatures from an author's imagination outside of reality. Falsehood refers to something that is untrue or dishonest, such as an untrue statement, lie, or act of deceiving. While fantasy involves imaginative storytelling, falsehood intentionally spreads deception. Fantasy exists as an absence of reality in one's mind, while falsehood, or a lie, can dispel a fantasy for others.
