This proposal is for a senior design project to build an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) equipped with radiation sensors to measure radiation levels around a nuclear reactor during emergencies. The proposal outlines the need for faster radiation measurements, introduces the team members and advisors, provides background on hardware/software requirements and existing solutions, defines the problem statement and proposed solution, discusses dividing responsibilities among team members, and provides a budget and timeline for completing the work over nine months. The UAV system is intended to address delays in current monitoring methods and provide automated, predefined radiation scans to analyze and display data in real-time.
