Cohort: Residents of Haley’s House (my colleague)
Residents Characteristics:
● Hofstra University students
● 8 females
● 1 dog
● 1 chinchilla
● 3 blocks from campus
● Age range of 19-23

Observation Summary
● Residents spend the majority of their time in the living room
● Kitchen is mostly used in the late afternoon
● They never eat at the kitchen table, but opt for other areas
● They often lose the AppleTV remote
● The living room and bathroom tend to get messy easily

Unmet Needs
● Lack of storage space for electronics
● Not enough space for bathroom products
● A comfortable dining area
● Someone to look after the animals

Application Concept
● An application that allows residents to sign up for various chores; such as
cleaning the bathroom, organizing the living room, and tending to the pets all
of which must be completed within the span of 7 days.
