This document summarizes challenges and reflections on information, knowledge, and wisdom societies and sociotechnical systems. It discusses how human organizations are living systems that should be analyzed as such, and how human and technological interactions drastically affect relationships. It also notes that tacit knowledge is embodied in people's heads, and their ability to utilize knowledge generates new knowledge. Therefore, a knowledge society cannot be discussed without considering these interactions. Additionally, it questions who or what will drive innovations in this new era, and whether political leaders are considering the impacts of sociotechnical systems on innovation processes.
