Explain the roles Congress, the President, bureaucracy, courts
and interest groups have in the law-making process.
Make an argument for why the Framers constructed the law -
making process to require the involvement of so many branches
and actors.
Make sure to provide plenty of evidence to support your claim.
Specifically reference Articles I, II and III as you explain the
process and return to use Madison’s theory found in Federalist
10 and 51 to support your explanation. You should also include
other scholarly sources to buttress your argument.
In your conclusion provide a suggestion to the law -making
process that would further ensure that the process n alternative
version of the clause that would improve it, OR defend it in its
current state.

Section I – Introduction (roughly 1/2 of a page)
Make an argument for why the Framers constructed the law -
making process to require the involvement of so many branches
and actors.
Explain the LAW-MAKING process to
provide plenty of evidence to support your claim.
o Hook your reader by communicating the importance of your
topic and provide a strong thesis statement that communicates
your main argument (AND, serves as a road-map for the rest of
your paper).
Section II – Present your central arguments about the roles each
of the following play in the process of a bill becoming law:
Congress, the President, bureaucracy, courts and interest groups
have in the process. WHAT IS YOUR CLAIM? BE SPECIFIC
(roughly 2 pages)
o
Use a specific law to help guide your explanation
o Use
www.congress.gov
to find a bill whose process will help you explain the process
with detail and clarity
o Connect this process with Articles I, II and III, and Fed 10/51,
and any other evidence you may have found. Constantly connect
your evidence back to your thesis statement.
o DO NOT simply restate the process from a text or the web –
use a real law!
Section IV – Conclusion (roughly 3/4 of a page)
o Quickly summarize your main argument and provide a
suggestion to the law-making process that would further ensure
that the process is constitutional and adheres to Article I, II,
and III.
o

  • 1. Explain the roles Congress, the President, bureaucracy, courts and interest groups have in the law-making process. Make an argument for why the Framers constructed the law - making process to require the involvement of so many branches and actors. Make sure to provide plenty of evidence to support your claim. Specifically reference Articles I, II and III as you explain the process and return to use Madison’s theory found in Federalist 10 and 51 to support your explanation. You should also include other scholarly sources to buttress your argument. In your conclusion provide a suggestion to the law -making process that would further ensure that the process n alternative version of the clause that would improve it, OR defend it in its current state. Cover page (not included in page count) Section I – Introduction (roughly 1/2 of a page) Make an argument for why the Framers constructed the law - making process to require the involvement of so many branches and actors. Explain the LAW-MAKING process to provide plenty of evidence to support your claim. o Hook your reader by communicating the importance of your topic and provide a strong thesis statement that communicates
  • 2. your main argument (AND, serves as a road-map for the rest of your paper). Section II – Present your central arguments about the roles each of the following play in the process of a bill becoming law: Congress, the President, bureaucracy, courts and interest groups have in the process. WHAT IS YOUR CLAIM? BE SPECIFIC (roughly 2 pages) o Use a specific law to help guide your explanation o Use www.congress.gov to find a bill whose process will help you explain the process with detail and clarity o Connect this process with Articles I, II and III, and Fed 10/51, and any other evidence you may have found. Constantly connect your evidence back to your thesis statement. o DO NOT simply restate the process from a text or the web – use a real law! Section IV – Conclusion (roughly 3/4 of a page) o Quickly summarize your main argument and provide a suggestion to the law-making process that would further ensure that the process is constitutional and adheres to Article I, II, and III. o Did you satisfy the prompt?
