Selected for my competitive experience in the field of IT-Technical Operations. Developed functions,
scripts and reports that were instrumental to the success contingency of high-priority servers and
processes.
Achievements:
Created scripts on HP UX, to check missing processes on the banks PowerCard and SPAN system
and send an e-mail to concerned people if there are some processes missing.
Created scripts to check the UNIX (HP UX and IBM AIX) file system and send an e-mail if there
are file system that reached its utilization threshold.
Created the banks Minimum baseline security for both HP and IBM UNIX machines.
Trained the newly hired System Operators in preparation to their designated tasks.
Supports the Database administrator by providing the Oracle queries for the Core Banking
support in Lebanon and Kuwait (Path Solutions).
Supports the Database administrator in implementing and upgrading the modules of the bank’s
Core banking system.
In charge of the banks Preventive and Light Preventive maintenance of the IBM pSeries machines.
In charge of extending the file system on the IBM pSeries machines.
Yearly Performance evaluation of system operators.
Included in the bank’s Core Banking Technical Support Group.
Daily Task:
Monitoring of the IBM Servers for SARIE Live and Test system for the banks link to SAMA.
Monitoring of the status of the bank’s ATM machines using Power Card monitoring.
Monitoring the resources of the bank’s Core Banking System Servers and File System. Reports
file systems that are having high disk utilization via unix prompt access.
In charge of the bank’s UPS keeping by checking the load of each UPS System.
Monitoring and first level troubleshooting of the bank’s SMS Gateway using Oseki NG 4.2.39.
Performs the bank’s Start of Day and End of Day process for TADAWUL (Saudi Stocks Exchange)
and Core Banking.
Monitoring the health of the Tape library using HP Data protector technology.
Monitoring of the Network Security Manager (Juniper Monitoring Technology).
Perform the daily refresh of the bank’s Tadawul system (Saudi Arabian Stocks Exchange) and
Web Sphere servers.
In charge of the teams monthly work schedule.

SARIE stand for Saudi Arabian Riyals Inter Bank Exchange. It is a gateway where all the bank’s
dealings and transactions pass through as an encrypted data using HSM technology thru IBM Servers.

Maintenance and first level trouble shooting of the HSM 8000 machine. This is the hardware that
encrypt and decrypt the data or transactions that our bank is sending to other banks or to SAMA
and vice versa.
Installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the SARIE workstation. The SARIE
workstations are the pc’s that are deployed to the banks treasury and operations department for
dealings and transactions.
Creation and Update and Deletion of the SARIE user’s card. This high level security cards are
used to transact thru the SARIE workstation using nShield technology.
Maintain and update and Deletion of the SARIE TIF machine database and import of users to the
gateway (unix).
Printing of the user’s PIN for the SARIE user’s cards.
Daily Backup of the SARIE Gateway Live and Test machine. Backup of the gateways database
and data files for daily, weekly and monthly backup.
Performs the monthly LPM (Light Preventive Maintenance) of the Live and Test Gateway to
ensure the optimized resources and availability of the Gateway Server.
Performs the Switching from Live to Test Gateway contingency as per SAMA (Saudi Arabian
Monetary Agency) advisory.
Maintains the file system disk space of the Live and Test Gateway. Extend the disk space of
highly utilized file systems as per SAMA’s approval.
