Expense Tracker
Introduction
• An Expense Tracker is a web based application that is used
for tracking our daily expenses.
• It can be called as a refined system to efficiently manage
his/her expenses with ease.
• This application keeps a record of your expenses and also will
give you a category wise distribution of your expenses.
• This website is designed for a single user in such a way that,
we should enter our incomes and expenses manually, it will
record and show our balance in a graphical representation
Existing
System
• We know that in olden days people
used to record all their bills manually.
• This way of recording their transactions
is time taking process.
• So Expense Tracking Management was
introduced in order to track our
transactions clearly.
• Existing systems are designed by using
PHP and MySQL
Expense Tracker
Expense Tracker
• The proposed system mainly focuses on graphical
representation of our total expenses and balance.
• Expense Tracker is designed for a single user only.
• The frontend of this project is also designed good by using
advanced CSS properities.
• Proposed project is done by using MongoDB, React, Nodejs
and API’s.
Proposed
System
700,000
New Users
Methodology
• This system will include a website application that
will allow users to maintain a digital automated
diary
• There will be two options for the user that are
income and expenses to make an entry.
• The user can select any entry according to his/her
choice. For instance we have sub categories in
income that are lottery, deposits, travel, bills,
salary, savings, rental income etc.
• Both Income and Expenses Graphical
representation will be created when we add any
item and distributed according to the user need.

Expense Tracker
• The primary application is for individuals to manage their personal
finances.
• Small businesses and freelancers can use an expense tracker as a
simplified accounting tool. It can help track income & categorize
expenses.
• Companies can implement expense trackers to streamline the
process of expense reporting for employees. This can enhance
transparency and simplify reimbursement procedures.
• Government agencies can implement expense tracking systems for
monitoring public spending, ensuring transparency, and identifying
areas for cost-saving.
Applications Expense Tracker
Positive Negative
Impact of the
project
• It is only applicable for a single user.
• If we don’t enter our income and
expenses manually then it can’t find our
real balance and may cause further
trouble.
• With the data generated by the expense tracker,
individuals can make data-driven decisions
about their spending priorities.
• By providing a tool that helps users manage their
finances more effectively, the project can
contribute to reducing financial stress.
• Users can use the expense tracker to set and
work towards financial goals, such as saving for
education, a home, or retirement
Expense Tracker
• A website is created which is used to track all our expenses and
made work little more simpler. In this project we displayed the
tracking of our daily expenses by using graphical
representation.
• In this project we used tools such as MongoDB, React, Nodejs,
html, CSS and APIs for the better output.
• At present, this project is designed only for a single user and
we have to enter manually all the income and expense then
only we can get final outcome.
• So in future, we can also add a user login form so that it will
become user friendly website.
