The EXIM project provides a single window for licenses required for import, export, and transit of goods in Macedonia. It aims to introduce paperless licensing and electronic signatures to streamline foreign trade operations. The EXIM system allows businesses to submit license applications and check statuses online. It also facilitates electronic licensing, customs quota applications, and payment monitoring. The project involved various government agencies and was implemented in phases from 2007-2008. Benefits include reduced costs and processing times for businesses through a more efficient electronic licensing process.
