1.0. INTRODUCTION
Nowadays,all edges of world continue to face oil depletion.The fluctuation of oil prices
around the world become the major hurdle for us despite we are in the modernization
era.We are witnessing our government initiative to solve this(oil depletion) problem in
line with the inclination of people that use motor-based transport mean.As a result,this
problem will slowly threaten our automotive sector. However,in recent time many
people show all their efford to think on the idea and solution to solve this matter.Hence,
oppurtunity being given especially to younger generation in order to generate new
invention in automotive sector.
Shell Eco Marathon Asia is one of the best platform for younger generation especially
students around the world to express and challenge all their ideas under coordination of
one of the biggest oil company,Shell Asia.Oppurtunity continue to be provide to train
skills and enhance level of thinking,at the same time contribute in the technology
development focussing on automotive field.
Shell Eco Marathon Asia 2013 can be classify to 2 categories,prototype and urban
concept.Prototype demonstrate a futuristic and aerodynamic car design that have 2 or 3
tyres.Next,urban category can be describe as an ordinary car in the market complete
with 4 tyres but with great efficiency of fuel usage.These 2 categories differ from each
other but share the same mission,that is to pioneer a transport that can travel further
distance with less amount of oil usage.
Shell Eco Marathon is not just a challenge and to be a champion,it is more than you
think.It involve our desire and anxiety to bring our automotive sector to a new
height,keep competent as heavy industry as well.Furthermore,help to practice new
technology in term of energy management and environment friendly.Refer to simple
meaning of conducting a job that can change something in the future.Through this
challenge also,we can produce and observe future engineers.

Basically,the estimate overall allocation for this program about RM 92,130.00 (Ringgit
Malaysia ninety two thousand one hundred thirty only).Hence,we really seek for

1. Tax exemption to all sponsorship categories according to subsection 44(6), Income
Tax Act 1967 unless OTHER SPONSORSHIP.
2. Each sponsor will be given publicity (as per category) in the country and globally level
(Asia).
3. Each SAE-UMP Chapter Shell Eco-Marathon Asia 2013 sponsor will receive a
certificate of appreciation from the team.

- Financial sponsorship for the team to cover the cost of management and
technical services to prepare a car that will be contested at the competition.
2. Products & Goods
- Product and appropriate items and is able to reduce the burden of cost or
technical management without involving direct financial processes.
3. Expertise & Services
- Expertise and engineering services that can provide additional support to the
team for team technical requirements.
4. Others
- Sponsorship-sponsored by other appropriate to reduce the cost of technical or
management team.
