My definition of professionalism is a person that carries themselves in a respectful manner. The
professional is educated, has a clean appearance, well spoken, and treats others with respect and
integrity. When a person is not professional it reflects poorly on the company. I have experienced
unprofessional behavior quite often. I have seen nurses, and other medical professionals, act
unprofessional. I will share a story of a very unprofessional situation. This situation put me in a
position where I had to make a moral and legal decision and take the appropriate action. Two nurse
aids were bathing a man that was in a coma. He had a penal implant from having prostate cancer.
The implant was a pump. While bathing him the girls pumped his penis up, took pictures and
sent the pictures to my phone along with derogatory remarks. The girls thought this was funny. I
did not. I thought it was extremely unprofessional, and degrading to that patient. The girls were
my friends, so the decision I had to make was not easy. I went to my nurse manager and took the
appropriate action and steps. The girls did lose their jobs. I did feel bad for them, but I felt worse
for that man. I had to do what was right.

overtaken me. Unfortunately, we have to make hard choices about letting go of a close friend,
and although it may hurt us, it is the right thing to do. I still remember the day that I had to
lower his body down in to that 6 foot deep hole; somehow, I feel as if he is still here, right beside

Sayre, P.A. (WENY) Robots are invading Guthrie Hospitals, but do not worry it is for a good
reason. The new robots are a new wave of technology helping the hospitals sanitize operating
rooms. The robot adds a whole new dimension to our disinfecting process for the Guthrie Clinic,
said Barbara Pennypacker, Vice President of Guthrie Surgical Services. The four Xenex Germ

intention to promote Manifest Destiny and westward expansion in a published Whig journal.
Whigs promoted rapid economic and industrial growth, including the expansion of territories
through Manifest Destiny, by demanding government support for a more modern, market oriented
economy, suggesting high tariffs, and funding internal improvements. The term Manifest Destiny
was coined by John O Sullivan, the editor of the 1846 Democratic Review. He claimed in his
article that California will fall away from Mexico...and a population will soon be in actual
occupation of [it]. In stating this, he was foreshadowing the end of the war and the forced
Mexican cession of the territories of California and New Mexico to the United States in exchange
of $15 million.
