Let’s work on the
problem/solution
essay!

3.  For each potential solution (post 31) to your problem
(as outlined in Essay 5) write a detailed paragraph
explaining why or how your solution would solve the
problem.
 When you finish, choose the single, best solution to
the problem you have outlined. Remember, you only
want ONE solution.
 Then, write down the other solution and explain why
the one you chose is the superior choice. That is, why
is the one you chose better than the one you
discarded?

4. Write several questions that you need
answered concerning how to do one
or all of the following:
strengthen the presentation of your
problem (could you use a statistic?)
solve your problem (should you look for
a similar solution that worked in
another location?
implement your solution (What are the
steps?)

5. Library Visit
 In order to do research for this
essay, we will meet in the library
for our next class.
 Be prepared with one or two ideas
for your essay topic, so you can
spend the time we have with the
librarian in a fruitful manner.
 Please do not be late to class.
