This document proposes a design for a rainwater filtration and storage system for rural households in An Minh District, Vietnam. The design aims to address issues of water quality by incorporating charcoal filtration from locally sourced rice husks, sand filtration, and ultraviolet disinfection. It also leverages existing infrastructure like ceramic and concrete jars. The proposed system is intended to be low-cost, utilize local resources, and provide employment and training opportunities during its implementation and manufacture.
