MAIN BIG EVENTS:
MASS RALLY
This event will be related to the opening ceremony. The rally will
cover the main areas of Patan (Route yet to be decided). The
starting and ending points will be AVM Premises.
Estimated number of participation, including teachers, parents, ex-
students and other well wishers might range from 1500 to 2000.
Activities:
Sale of T-shirts at some of the major outlets for the ex-students
and the outsiders.
Sale of T-shirts to the parents through the school.
Unveiling of the wall inscriptions/hoisting of the flags of 50 years
(nemonic) and school flag
Budgeting required for:
 Refreshment and water
 Floral decoration
 Banners and Flex
Ex-AVMs Gala – Dinner and felicitation of
teachers, staffs
Venue: Any five star hotel
expected Participants: 1000
Date: Before Dashain or in between Dashain and
Tihar
Ticket price: to be fixed
Budgeting required for felicitation depending on the
numbers of recipient.
ADARSHA MELA:
This event will have stalls for entertainment, food, sales of
production for children, a Garage for the sale of used stuffs
and few more stalls for the sales of productions as per the
remaining space. Performances of reputed artists can be
staged as an attraction.
Tentative date: November (winter break) / (School term break)
Expected participants: 2500 – 3000
Targeted group: Students, Parents, Ex-AVMs, students and teachers
from different schools.
Venue: AVM grounds
Budgeting: based on the estimate provided by the event manager.
SCHOOL SHOW:
This program will consist of various cultural and
different forms of dances, dramas, skits, songs and
musical instruments displays. This program will
be related with the closing ceremony of the golden
jubilee celebration.
Venue: a Well-facilitated auditorium.
Target group: Parents, students and invitees
Ticket show: for the EX-AVMs?

NATIONAL LEVEL SCHOOL TABLE TENNIS COMPETITION
This event will have players from different districts. We
expect players of different schools from 8 districts. Best
two schools from each district approximately will have 26
participants. Therefore, the total participant’s number
may range from 180 to 208. The school will have to
provide food and lodging for the players from outside the
valley.
Players to participate from within the valley may range from
300 to 400. Schools having coach and players frequently
participating in valley wide and national tournaments
will be invited for this event. Approximately, 24 schools
come under this category.

Date: The Dorms should be vacated. That’s why, the date will be fixed on school’s term

GENERAL EVENTS
Art exhibition and sales:
The school club for art will display their members’ paintings
and drawings in the Art council at BabarMahal for approx
7 days. Different mediums of paints and various forms of
art will be demonstrated in this exhibition.
Tentative date of exhibition: Before Dashain
Event coordinator: Mr. Raj Kumar Prajapati
Targeted group: Students and teachers from different
schools, parents, EX-AVMs and the outsiders.
Budgeting: requires for refreshment for the inaugural day,
Expected invitees: 250, Art Materials and framing, Rental
charge for 7 days.
JUNIOR MATHEMATICS CHAMP
This event will foresee the participation of students from
different schools of the valley from grade 3 to 5 having
some knowledge and skills of mathematics. The
competition will comprise of three different events:-
Puzzle making, Model making and Quiz. The highest
scorer in all three categories will be declared as the
CHAMP. We will witness approximately 15 to 20 schools
of the valley.

 Venue: Common Hall
 Budgeting: Medals, Trophies, Certificates, and Cash

INTER SCHOOL MURAL COMPETITION
This will be an event where the group of students from
different schools to paint the walls at some prominent
place of Kathmandu or Lalitpur. The paintings will give
message to the passerby and will take place in the context
of world’s special day (e.g. World day for disable)
celebration.
Tentative Date: November / December
Participating number of schools: at least 24. Each
school consisting of 5 members.
Budgeting:
Lunch box: 120 x 50 = 6000
Medal, Trophy and certificates = 20000

INTER SCHOOL PROGRAMMING COMPETITION
This event will be organized among different schools of the
valley (around 30 schools). Two students from each school
will be called for the participation. The main motive of this
competition is to encourage the students to learn and
perform computer programming within time frame.
Event coordinator: Mr. Suresh Kumar Shrestha
Venue: Computer Lab
Budgeting: Medals, Trophies, Certificates, Lunch
and snacks
Note:
Besides having all the events held, as a golden jubilee
celebration memoir, souvenir such as CDs, Stickers,
Ceramic Mugs, T-shirts, Key chains will be made.
We also intend to make an A.V / documentary to show the
history / a making of AVM. This job will be carried out
under the guidance of Ms Rajni Shrestha (Batch 2029).
A form of art depicting school’s contribution in the field of
education will be in the list of programs for celebration.
This piece will be either on the wall as mural or some
where on the ground in the form of statue.
