The 7 Things I Know About Cyber Security After 25 Years | April 2024
Evaluation Question 7
1. Looking back at your
preliminary task, what do
you feel you have learned
in the progress from it to
the product?
2. Creating our preliminary task allowed my
team mates and I to experiment and
master camera techniques that we then
reproduce to fit in with our thriller
opening. Some examples of techniques we
manipulated from our preliminary task to
our thriller opening are over the shoulder
shots, POV shots and also the transition of
moving through a door.
4. Since our preliminary task was all shot inside we
didn’t have to worry about natural lighting and
making sure that the light was consistent after
each shot. However our thriller opening did have
scenes outside, so we had to shoot all of our
outdoor scenes at the same time to ensure that
the lightening was consistent during each shot.
5. A lesson we learnt from doing our
preliminary task is that we actually broke
the 180 degree rule. This made us more
cautious when filming our thriller opening,
and we were able to usefully abide by the
180 degree rule.
6. Whilst preparing our thriller opening we decided
to dress our cast to follow the theme of our
“urban” film and to follow stereotypes and not go
against hegemony. We dressed our cast in puffy
winter jackets, our antagonist character wore his
hood up to create mystery.
Also since we were filming in a natural
environment we had to deal with unexpected
problems. For example whilst filming a car beeped,
however we felt that it added character to our
thriller opening. So we edited the sound to make it
lower and fit into the thriller!
