1. Evaluation Question 7
From the preliminary task we did towards the start of college. We
had taken so much on board.
The overall confidence and relation with the equipment got vastly
larger; with this we had an immediate head start with recording. As
the setup with the tripod and the editing software was so familiar
and easier to use. With this, we were comfortable with the camera
and various different shots. From this we were able to improve on
these shots in our sequence, making us more successful in the
making of our sequence.
From the preliminary task we done it got us all comfortable with the
whole point of acting, we were able to do stuff that was out of
comfort zone, i.e. doing accents or playing a serious role. This
confidence boost has really helped in the acting for our sequence.
Overall I feel as though we had taken a lot on board from the
preliminary task and we have vastly improved our skills regarding
everything. These skills are: we were familiar with the editing
software, we were all comfortable as a team to record, our acting
skills had improved, the skills regarding the different angles and
camera shots were so much better.
We learnt a lot from the preliminary task, we feel as though our
sequence was a success as we involved al the relevant
conventions of a film noir genre.
