Andthisisa commonoccurrence infilmsas itshowsthe audience where itistakingplace.Andalsothe good use of the title positioningisaverycleverandeffective wayof usingitin thisshot.Which mosttitle’sinfilmscropupina different wayor ona certainthing.Whichwe have shownhere. The ‘costumes’whichwe usedforourmainactor was an all-blacklook,whichincludedcap,jacket,trousersand shoes.Andthiswasto appeal to the ‘hidden’ elementof whathe isin the film.Andthroughouthe isclearlytrying not to be seenor noticed. Andthislookedgoodonthe shotsthroughout.Finally,thiscanconformtothe film conventionsasthe mainprotagonistdoesn’talwaysneedto be made obviousandstand out.Andwe have triedto just blendhiminwiththe everydaycrows,asnoone knowsof his‘power’yet. In our openingsequence we usedanumberof differentcameraanglesthroughout.Andthis includedvariouspans,wideshots,overthe shouldershots,highanglesandsloe atrackingshot towardsthe beginning.Butitisdifficulttosaywhetherthese shotswouldreallyfitalongwiththe conventionsasinthe industrythere are a numberof differentdirectorswhotendtoall have differentideas.Sothiswouldbe difficultanduntrue to an extentif Iexpressedweatheritfittedwith these conventionsaseveryonehasdifferentviewsetc.butIfeel like ouruse of angleswere very effectivethroughout.Notusingtolittle ortoomany.

The titleswe usedwithinourfilmfollowedvariousfilmconventionsinthe waythattheywere presented.We putthe differenttitlesthatwe hadoverdifferentpartsof the openingsequence.And thisincludedpavementsandwalls.Indifferentmediaproductshavingthese formsof titlescanlook veryeffectiveastheyjustfitintothe shots.AndI believethatwe usedthemtoa veryhighdegree. But overall,Ifeel liketodayfilmsare more andmore becomingindependentinthe waysthat theyhave beengotabout inthe makingprocess.Andthishas therefore openedupthe wayin whicha filmcan be made.Butthiscan still show aclearrelation to the genre of your film,andinour case,in thisbeingathrillerfilm, we onlyhad aroundthe twominute mark to show so.And takingthatintocontentionIbelievethat we have made it apparentto the audience thatthere ismore to come and really shownthe unknownmysterybehindwhat’stocome.AndIbelieve thatthisisstill a keyaspectto any filmconvention.
