Due to the narrative on the film being about a common, everyday relationship with common citizens; viewers can associate with the characters and displace their personalities into people they know in real life. This gives the film more power as people take an active interest as they have a personal link with the characters. My poster works well with my film as it displays these characters for what they are- normal people. This instantly sets an impression with the audience in that they can relate with them more than they would if the characters were super heroes.
- 4. The large bold title connotes a feel of seriousness and informs the audience of the genre of the film and the overall tone of the film. The use of the colour red is extremely important and compliments my film as we associate the colour red with the following: Love, Lust, Danger, Alarm, Anger, Death, Blood, Warning and romance. All of which feature in my film so it seemed fitting to use it throughout my ancillary tasks. The strap line “the secret is out” twinned with the above conventions again points the audience in the direction of the film’s narrative.
