The EV Regenerative Acceleration (ReGenX) Ebike Integration Project aims to develop an electric bicycle system that utilizes regenerative braking to charge the battery and extend the range of the ebike. The project will integrate a custom motor controller, braking system, and battery to capture kinetic energy from braking and use it to recharge the battery. This allows the ebike to recapture energy that is normally lost during braking, increasing the efficiency and reducing the operating costs of the electric bicycle.
