Dundee High School was founded in 1239 by monks from Lindores Abbey. The school motto is "under the leadership of god" which appears on the school badge. Students have PE lessons at the Mayfield Sports Centre and use it for outdoor sports and sports day. A typical school day includes subjects like spelling, math, PE, language, and environmental studies, with breaks for lunch in between. After school activities offered include art club, rugby, tennis, home economics, netball, badminton, chess, and karate.
