The document describes the Cascais Data Science for Social Good Europe Summer Fellowship 2017 program. The fellowship trains data scientists over 12 weeks to use data to help solve social problems for organizations. It has placed 183 fellows from 50 countries over 5 years on 40 projects. In 2017, there were 6 projects with 16 fellows analyzing tourism data in Tuscany, Italy to help sustainable tourism and visitor flow management. The goal is to seed a community using data-driven decision making to create social impact.
