This document reflects on effective supervision and leadership. It discusses that a good supervisor builds relationships, communicates effectively, fosters teamwork and positive morale. Communication is key, requiring clear expression and addressing hidden agendas. As a former supervisor, the author realized they could have improved staff development, particularly around technology. They also learned the importance of training sessions for new employees. Overall, the author's strengths are advising, leadership, communication and teaching, while areas for improvement include legal issues, multicultural awareness and student development theory. Continuing education on these topics is important for current and aspiring supervisors.
This document provides an overview of a wellness coaching programme with the objectives of improving employee retention, attendance, wellbeing, productivity, and relationships. The wellness coach facilitates counselling sessions, financial planning assistance, wellness days, messaging groups, and develops personal action plans. The wellness coaching model involves setting goals, creating a roadmap, generating ideas, practicing skills, and building relationships. The coaching process begins with identifying employee challenges, setting goals, creating a plan, generating solutions, and practicing skills. Common employee challenges include health issues, family problems, workplace conflicts, and transportation difficulties. Coaching challenges include high work volumes, lack of performance data, and inconsistent reviews. The recommended process is to identify and coach low performers
The document discusses coaching academics through the promotion process in higher education. It notes that while many professors are highly intelligent, some struggle with executive functioning skills like memory, attention, and organization when faced with increasing stress and responsibilities of seeking promotion. Coaches can help professors navigate the complex promotion requirements, develop strategies for managing time and projects, access available support resources, and maintain wellness and a work-life balance during this challenging period. The coaching aims to help professors optimize their skills and potential for professional advancement.
COACHING TAKES YOU FROM “HOW TO WOW”
You aspire to achieve specific goals and fulfil your dreams. But working towards goal is not that easy, as you may encounter several how, where, why, when, whom, which etc. questions en-route to success. The inspiration to find solution of these hurdles, odds and rough patches are available through Coaching. The down times can get really down and dishearten you.
Setbacks and disappointments are an integral part of life and there is no escaping them. While you cannot change your circumstances or bypass the hurdles, you can brace yourself up against the difficult times by maintaining a positive & constructive frame of mind and then determine to keep you going against all odds.
When the going gets tough and you are overwhelmed by the rough times, all you need is Coaching to encourage and keep you going. The showcase to inspire the winner in you will do, by unchaining your real potential. Coaching stimuli will lift up your spirits, make you feel high-n-confident and put you back on right action track.

Collaborative Coaching
Is it the coach’s job to support the client to achieve happiness and satisfaction or to give the client options from which to choose?
What are the coach’s responsibilities and what are the client’s responsibilities before, during, and after coaching?
Can a coach help the client achieve happiness?
Barry Schwartz’s video Paradox of Choice set an interesting perspective that if you have low expectations you will be happier. That could be understood in the reverse as high achievers have higher levels of frustration because they do have high expectations for themselves and others. People who want to work with a coach are usually high achievers. So what is a Collaborative Coach to do in helping clients’ achieve happiness; help them set low expectations?

The video highlights the importance of mentorship programs for new teachers. It notes that without guidance, nearly 50% of teachers leave within 5 years, costing billions and disrupting student learning. The Hillsborough County School System addresses this by pairing new teachers with mentor teachers who provide support. The mentors observe classes and offer feedback to help new teachers improve and help retain them long-term. When properly implemented, mentorship programs can significantly reduce teacher turnover and create stability for students.
This document discusses the impact and value of coaching for employees. It provides that coaching improves employee commitment, focus, and motivation. Coaching is a personal process that accelerates employee development and maximizes their potential. The primary goal of coaching is to help the person. Effective coaching requires creating trust in the relationship and looking for opportunities when the employee is open to learning, called "coachable moments." Coaching can be directive by giving advice or non-directive by asking questions to guide self-learning. The type of coaching depends on factors like the employee's skill level and commitment required.
Career development involves assessing one's skills and interests to further their work identity over various career stages. There are typically three career phases for nurses: promise (early career), momentum (middle career), and harvest (late career). Organizations should support career development through career paths, performance assessments, training, and challenging assignments. Effective career coaching involves gathering employee data, discussing future opportunities, and setting a career plan. Barriers to career development can include personal and financial factors, family obligations, age perceptions, and lack of organizational support.

LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like
Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems

Changes in vegetation cover refer to variations in the distribution, composition, and overall
structure of plant communities across different temporal and spatial scales. These changes can
occur natural.
2. Intro to Student Resources
In my time working at the center for career and
academic pathways at Lansing Community
College, I have observed students falling
through the proverbial cracks when it comes to
access and knowledge about the resources
provided to them. During my observations, It
was clear to me that many students take
advantage of the resources provided, but many
do not as well. The three particular sections I
studied include academic advising, career
advising, and success coaching.
3. Ethnographic Methods
I worked, on average, 25 hours a week during
my participant observation in which I was able
to answer phone calls, to answer questions and
set up appointments for students with the
academic advisors. I was also able to conduct
9 interviews, with 3 academic advisors, 2
success coaches, 1 faculty member and 3
students, all of which provided informed
consent to be interviewed. The interviewees
will be referred to as follows: academic
advisor #1, academic advisor #2, academic
advisor #3, success coach #1, success coach
#2, faculty member #1, student #1, student #2,
and student #3.
4. Academic Advising
Academic advising is the main resource for academic
help at LCC. They are typically used to create a plan
for what classes to take for the upcoming semesters.
There are several different ways to meet or
communicate with them, including text with the online
chat, email with the e-advising email, as well as
creating standard appointments. There also has been
drop-in advising where students can walk in or call for
an appointment on Wednesdays, but they have now
changed that to same day appointments also known as
express advising. These are set up time blocks of 30
minutes that are able to be scheduled starting on
Tuesdays at 3pm, but the appointment does not actually
occur until Wednesday.
5. Career Advising
Career advising is a resource offered at LCC primarily
used for career services such as career options, resume
building and review, LinkedIn building and review, and
plenty more. This service is offered not only to students
but prospect students that may be interested in attending
LCC but are not quite sure what career opportunity to
pursue. You are able to meet with the career advisor
through virtual or in person, and you can also go into the
physical career center area and see what kind of
opportunities for jobs are available on the whiteboard.
All students are able to schedule their appointments
online, but typically they are scheduled through student
employees that answer the phone calls or inside the
career center.
6. Success Coaching
Success coaching is one the most widely used
resources on campus, as they are one of the most
readily available. Success coaches are assigned to
every student at LCC, and the student will have the
same coach for the entirety of their time at LCC. The
coach is able to help with many problems a student
may have or refer them to someone better equipped to
help. There is many ways to reach your success coach,
including text, email, setting up an appointment, or
walking into the success coach lounge. Typically,
success coaches will contact the student first on their
own just to check in, so there is always some sort of
connection between them.
7. Conclusions
The main conclusions I made regarding academic advising are as follows:
1. many students do not know the difference between academic advisor and success coach
2. some students do not feel a need to meet with an academic advisor for success
3. despite an overwhelming amount of appointments and reminder calls made for all of them, many students cancel
or miss their appointments
4. there is a significant amount of drop in appointments despite long wait times and the pressure put on advisors
The main conclusions I made regarding career advising are as follows:
1. there is only one career advisor, who is also only part time
2. this causes 2-4 week wait times for students looking to make an appointment
3. many students do not know career services are offered here
The main conclusions I made regarding success coaching are as follows:
1. many students do not know about the success coach lounge
2. not all students feel the need to respond when their success coach contacts them
3. not all older students are assigned a success coach if they return to campus
8. Suggestions
The main suggestions I have regarding academic advising are as follows:
1. offer seminars outside of orientation that explain different resources more in depth
2. implementation of a text reminder rather than reminder calls, or a mixture of both
3. implementation of a waitlist for students if an appointment is missed, cancelled or rescheduled, to lessen wait
times and the amount of missed availability slots
The main suggestions I have regarding career advising are as follows:
1. hire a full time career advisor
2. hire a marketing specialist that can help students with LinkedIn profiles and social media output
The main suggestions I have regarding success coaching are as follows:
1. gain more outreach to the student body with success coach social media
2. advertise the success coach lounge more often
3. implementation of a semester check-in form sent to the whole student body to make sure everyone is in contact
with their coach if that’s what they wish
