2. Ethics is the study of human behaviour which is
right or wrong.
In general, ethics means doing right things to
others, being honest to others, being fair and
justice to others
What is ‘Finance’ ?
Finance means fund or other financial resource
; it deals with matter related to money and the
market. The field of finance refers to the concept
of time, money and risk and how they are
interrelated.
3. Ethics in finance is one of the main things which
everyone has to follow from small, medium, and
big level company.
It is considered important as without financial
component no business can run for a long time.
The assumption of modern financial-economic
theory runs counter to the ideas of honesty,
devotion, dependability and loyalty.
Peoples who involved in finance activity have to
serve both their company and their customers at
utmost good faith.

5. Ethical Issues in Finance
Insider Trading :- Insider Trading refers generally
to buying or selling a security , in breach of a
fiduciary duty or other relationships of trust and
confidence , while in possession of material , non
public information about the security .
Fraud :- A fraud is a dishonest act by an employee
that result in personal benefit to the employee at a
cost to the employer
Example :- A bookkeeper in small company
diverted $750000 of bill payments to a personal
bank account over a three year period.
6. Some Examples of Unethical Practices :-
Delay in Paying Wages , Interest to financiers ,
incentives , bonus to employees
Cheating employees of their dues towards
medical expenses , leave travel assistance ,
children education fees etc.
