2. The goal of the project is set in two different categories: the ecological restoration and botanical conservation of Sierra Cabrera mountain range, as well
as its development and adequation for sustainable tourism and educational purposes.
A series of initiatives are established to achieve these goals, whose success is interdependent: the touristic and educational development improves and
promotes the conservation of the area, and additionally, the ecological and botanical conservation serves as a reason for these activities.
The location of the project, surrounded by towns whose economy is based on sun & beach tourism, makes it achieve a greater importance as a diffe-
rentiated alternative that complements the touristic offer in the region. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the town of Turre (in which municipality is
located) to develop, conserve and promote a long term project that guarantees the conservation of the natural area and acts as an economic promoter
for its municipality.
