This document discusses the registered behavior technician (RBT) course, which provides a 40-hour training to learn applied behavior analysis strategies for helping those with behavioral challenges. To become an RBT, one must complete the training, pass a competency assessment with a supervisor, and pass the BACB exam. The RBT course teaches skills to work as an occupational therapist, speech pathologist, or in various direct care roles supporting those with autism or other behavioral needs.
