Financial Problems With Bad Debt Management
Bad debt management is at an all time high. More people are having more financial problems than
ever before. Bankruptcy is at an all time high. Financial stress is tearing families apart.
Many people think debt consolidation is the answer to all their financial problems. Just think... you
get one loan to pay off all your debts. Then, you only have to deal with one company and one
payment. You have to admit, it sounds very good.
However, getting a debt consolidation loan will not likely resolve existing financial problems until
or unless one learns how to manage their debts. Financial abuse can get out of control. It can
become additive just like drugs or alcohol. Often, financial mismanagement occurs because of lack
of understanding. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Status Quo of Higher Education in the United Kingdom
Literature review 4000 less p.3
The status quo of higher education in the United Kingdom (UK): internationalized, leading but
critical. The first part of this literature review aim is to use exhaustive evidence to critically
evaluate the position of higher education stands in the UK, and in turn try to expose the ambivalent
issues that are caused by globalization from a macro perspective.
The second part is based on international students experiential point of view, look into the purposes
of studying abroad and demonstrate the nostalgic mentality of being away from home.

African Americans Food
Africans found food in many ways. They hunted, fished, gathered, scavenged, herded, and farmed.
The types of foods early Africans consumed tended to vary by climate and area.
Early people were hunter gatherers. They ate large and small birds, fish, mice, grasshoppers, crabs,
snails, mollusks, fruit, nuts, wild cereals, vegetables, fungi, and other plants.
In the case of agriculture, the type of area and amount of rain determined the kinds of crops that
grew best.
People harvested forest snail. Bananas, fish, sheep, goats, chickens, cattle, yams, millet, sorghum,
and insect larvae were popular meal choices in the sub Saharan area.

The Crucible By Arthur Miller
I saw Sarah Good with the Devil! I saw Goody Osburn with the Devil! I saw Bridget Bishop with
the Devil! (Miller 45). In Arthur Miller s The Crucible, residents of Salem habitually cry witch ,
driven by dismay, suspicion, and retribution. Under a strict theocracy, where the court s ruling and
religious beliefs are exclusively bound to one another, death is practically inevitable for those
branded as witches, their names perpetually tarnished. From atop his high horse, one may look
upon The Crucible and harshly judge the irrational actions of Salem s community; however, human
emotion drove these injudicious acts, the very raw emotion that often overpowers logic in today s
society. Though theocracy has dissolved in America, one can never... Show more content on

Fear that witches were truly among the community of Salem, performing dark magic and wreaking
havoc, propelled witch hunters to raid the town. Paranoia. The declaration of Salem s most admired
individuals to have been involved in witchcraft gave residents the excuse to suspect any soul of
wrongdoing. Vengeance. Jealousy and dislike spurred citizens to accuse their foes, utilizing
witchcraft to justify their personal vendetta. When Salem s women were stigmatized as witches,
two groups were born. Those who believed in the children s witchcraft allegations, acting primarily
on emotion, and those who declared the children of pretense, acting predominantly on logic.
However, the group motivated by fear, paranoia, and vengeance greatly outnumbered those driven
by logic in both strength and size. Thus this group, experiencing a psychological phenomenon
called groupthink, can be held accountable for the execrable Salem witch trials.
Irving Janis, a social psychologist, studied how social behavior is influenced in group settings. In
1972, he coined the name groupthink to describe observed behavioral changes in individuals
belonging to groups. Groupthink is characterized by a group s pursuit for unity, often resulting in
individual members disregarding or altering their own beliefs to coincide with the majority, or
group s, beliefs. This disregard or altercation ensures that the group stays unified; however, results
in the group committing illogical actions without considering

Difference Between Rigid And Rigid Constitution
Rigid and Flexible Constitution
Introduction
The word constitution is commonly used in at least two senses in any ordinary discussion of
political affairs . First of all it is used to describe the whole system of government of a country ,
the collection of rules which establish and regulate or govern the government . These rules are
partly legal , in the sense that courts of law will recognize and apply them , and partly non legal
or extra legal , taking the form of usages , understandings, customs , or conventions which courts do
not recognise as law but which are not less effective in regulation the government that the rules of
law strictly so called.

They lead us to think that a constitution which contains a number of legal obstacles to its
amendment will be hard to alter and will therefore be less frequently altered than one which
contains fewer obstacles or no special obstacles at all . It is thought that as the name suggest , a
rigid constitution owing to its intricate arrangement of amendment is difficult to amend on the
other hand a flexible constitution can be moulded in the manner a legislature wishes it to. But this
type of distinction may not be true , if the amendment procedure in regard to India is seen , then
we can come to the conclusion that the Indian constitution is not entirely easy to amend , owing to
the provision of two third majority under clause (2) of Art 368, but still we have 100th newest
amendment in our constitution and several other amendments still in pipeleine . The swiss
constitution owing to its amendment procedure can be said as rigid , but in fact it has also been
subjected to frequent amendments . The constitution of Australia , on the other hand , which has
similar provision of amendment as in Swiss constitution , has been amended very few times , as
of 2012, 44 referendums have been held, of which only 8 have been carried

San Bernardino City Unified School District
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Introduction
San Bernardino City Unified School District houses one of the largest populations for students
with moderate to severe disabilities within the Inland Empire. Over the past decade San
Bernardino City Unified School District (SBCUSD) has sustained an influx of students who
qualify for a moderate to severe special day classroom (SDC) setting and special education services.
Effectively educating youth with moderate to severe disabilities is not a simplex task, as it requires
multifaceted skillsets involving various special education professionals. Developing and executing a
service delivery model that targets student s individual needs, while simultaneously supporting
students in strides towards life long goals is crucial. Carmack Elementary is one of fifty two
elementary schools within SBCUSD that only provides educational services to students with
moderate to severe disabilities grades kindergarten through sixth. The community surrounding
Carmack Elementary has been deemed high poverty, indicating a vast majority of students who
attend Carmack are presumed as low income status. Lastly, a vast majority of students who attend
Carmack Elementary qualify for the free and reduced meal program offered through the district.

Erickson Reflection
This week we learned about Erickson and his theory on development. Erikson studied under the
Freud method, but unlike Freud, Erikson actually did research on infants and children as they
were developing. I really enjoyed learning about Erikson considering I have a 5 month old at
home growing away. It was interesting to compare these videos to where my baby was in
development. Another interesting thing about this module was the James Marcia Identity
Status which consists of 4 parts foreclosure, achievement, diffusion, and moratorium. Diffusion
is when you have not really made a commitment to anything yet. This is typically a high school
junior/senior or even college freshman/sophomore. They have not yet figured out what they
want to do with life yet and honestly, aren t too worried about. In my diffusion score I received a
5 meaning I guess I am in the middle. I m not too sure if I agree with this accusation or not, but
maybe that is why I scored this number. Although I had my career path figured out and I was on
the path to it up until a few months ago I feel as though I have started testing the waters in other
areas now. These areas are still very close to what my original plan was. Now that I have a family
I am focused more now than ever to pick the perfect career for not just me, but my family. I feel as
though I have always been well organized planned women, but throwing a baby, husband, and other
life changing circumstances into the mix has lead me to this spot

Generally soils located in grassland regions have very and this is what I presumed, however, the
Delpoint soil series has a relatively short A horizon, which is abnormal for a grassland soil. The
melanization that has formed this A horizon is very minimal and made so due to the cryic
temperature regime, which blesses us with short periods of frost free conditions as well as limited
precipitation decreases organic material. This also shows how this soil creates its self and is

Babies Discover Their Feet
When do Babies Discover Their Feet?
Developmental milestones describe a set of functional skills that many children can do at a
particular age range. These milestones help measure how your baby is developing, such as the
first word, or first smile. Even though milestones have an approximate age level, every child is
unique, and the age when a child reaches that milestone can vary quite a lot. Beginning at age four
months, babies learn to coordinate perceptive and motor abilities. This is the age of discovery
when they develop skills like grasping, rolling over, sitting up, and their feet.

How did the Ottoman Empire differ from earlier Islamic empires in the Middle East?
The Ottoman Empire, or Ottoman Turkish, was one of the longest in history, having gone through
the whole modern era and only come to an end with the end of World War I in 1918. The event that
is commonly taken by historians as the inaugurator of the Modern age is the fall of Constantinople,
the center of the Byzantine Empire, and was triggered by the Turkish Ottoman. Also, you certainly
heard about the Arabs, the Muslim religion and Islam. Certainly we have also had contact with
some of the achievements of the Arabs, as the Arabic numerals, the number zero or even a compass.

The ordering of the army was one of the main assets of the Ottoman Empire. There was a formation
of elite warriors, called Janissaries (or Yeniceri in Turkish), they became one of the greatest war
machines of the period.
The control by the Ottomans expanded toward the Arabian Peninsula and Mesopotamia during the
fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. The Sultan Mome II, or Mehemd (1432 1481), was responsible
for the defeat of the Byzantine Empire in 1453, when he claimed for himself the title of caliph, full
name of a Muslim political, meaning sovereign over all Muslims. It was the first time a Turkish
Ottoman, not an Arab, received the title of caliph. It was then that Constantinople was renamed
Istanbul.
The cultural and political legacy of the Ottoman Empire still reflects up today in Arab nations such
as Turkey and Saudi Arabia. In the capital of Turkey, Istanbul, there are examples of art and

most sumptuous monuments are the Church of St. Sophia and the Blue Mosque. Since then, the

Does Smoking Cause Lung Cancer Essay
INTRODUCTION
It s a proven fact. Each year more Americans die from lung cancer and other smoking related
diseases than they die from aids, drug abuse, car accidents and homicide, combined. Cigarette
smoking is a danger to our life and health. It is the leading known cause of lung cancer. Each year
more than 30,000 people will die of lung cancer and 4 out of 5 of them will get it because of
cigarette smoke. Studies have proven that there is no safe way to smoke. Tobacco contains many
dangerous cancer causing chemicals that affects the lungs of the smoker and the nonsmoker, so

If you smoke, you are more likely to develop the disease. Men who smoke are 22 times more likely
to develop lung cancer, while women who smoke are estimated to be 12 times more likely. The
earlier you start smoking and the longer you smoke increases the danger. But if you stop
smoking, the risk of cancer falls each year as abnormal cells are replaced by normal cells. In ten
years, the risks decreases to a level that is 30 to 50 percent of the risk for people who continue to
smoke. That s why it s important for young people to never start smoking.
WHAT SMOKING DOES TO YOUR LUNGS Cigarette smoke contains many dangerous

for oxygen to be absorbed into the bloodstream and carbon dioxide to be expelled. To some extent
our breathing apparatus can can clean itself. Mucus produced by some cells in the bronchi traps

The Role Of Fate In Greek Mythology
When we look at Greek Mythology we often run into the gods of that era. Sometimes they are
merely backdrops to the human element of the story but in stories such as The Odyssey the gods
play a prominent if not vital role to the central themes of the story.
Fate has a place in the Greek world but is place is not the same as it is in other scenarios or worlds.
It is important to understand the word before we discuss it. Fate as far as Greek mythology goes is
not just fate, by most standards fate is described as things that occur for an unknown reason that no
one has any control over. However, in Greek Mythology fate simply does not just happen. The God

That was his free will. Some say that the gods knew Odysseus would not stay and that is why they
decided to let him go. However, knowledge of an act doesn t take away the fact that Odysseus
chose himself. The gods took much of his life away and he had more reason than anyone to give
up and say to himself, This is my fate. Ann, a critic of The Odyssey says, Blaming the gods for
your faults doesn t always work, though. There s a difference between having a fate and
accepting your fate. The real heroes never give in. (Ann par. 26) That difference, between
having fate and accepting it, is free will. Once the gods have controlled the fate of certain
people, the gods let the happenings take course. It is true that the gods interfere with the lives of
the people, but that will never take away their free will. Zeus says it himself in the beginning of
The Odyssey while talking to other gods upon Olympus, My word how mortals take the gods to

The Grasshopper And The Bell Cricket Symbolism
Franz Kafka, in The Red Indian, uses an Indian as a symbol of freedom, a life without social
constraints. In the story, the narrator longs to be an Indian suddenly vigilant on a galloping horse,
until eventually he loses the spurs and the reins, because he doesn t need them, and the horse s
neck and head vanish (Kafka 64). Essentially, he is saying that he longs for a freedom he does not
have. He wishes to simply ride away from his troubles as an Indian would. No longer bored with the
constructs of a dull society, but vigilant. Another man may ride with spurs and reins, those
constraints of society, but an Indian would be simply unbounded by these things. Thus, the symbol

on the best front. The first child who went looking eventually discards his red lantern, because it
was too boring. Each day the children make new ones to try to have the best, just as young
adults do when pursuing a partner. We each try to have the most flashy personality and look.
Therefore, the lanterns are a type of mask that the children put on to find the most attractive bug.
The grasshopper, then, is the type of beautiful person one wants to find, and the bell cricket is
the less appealing insect. Kawabata suggests that the bell cricket is the better bug, for there are
not many bell crickets in the world (67). Probably, Kawabata says, you will find a girl like a
grasshopper whom you think is a bell cricket (67). In the end, though, even a true bell cricket will
seem like a grasshopper (Kawabata 68). These sentences seem confusing at first, but ultimately
Kawabata is saying that the person you want may not be what they seem, the person you find may
be more than they appear, and the person you love will be beautiful to you, even if they are not. In
summation, the insects symbolize the types of people or the types of relationships that one may

Pros And Cons Of Federal Heights Essay
Located in Colorado s Adams County, Federal Heights is considered a suburb of Denver. Its
population of just over 12,000 citizens gives it a small town vibe, which might make it more
appealing to potential residents who crave relief from city life. Denver is only about seven
miles south of Federal Heights, so it s easily accessible if you crave a meal at a fancy restaurant
or an evening at the theater. In the late 1920s, Harvey Larsen built the first business in Federal
Heights a grocery store and owned a few square miles of land here. Larsen originally worked for a
railroad company, which was one of the largest industries in the area thanks to the droves of people
who moved west during that time period. It wasn t until 1940, however, that Federal Heights...

Federal Heights offer a balm against the hustle and bustle of a metropolis. Despite its small size,
Federal Heights offers many amenities to keep you comfortable and occupied. Grab a cup of joe

shape. You ll also have access to restaurants, shopping venues, and public transportation.
Additionally, you ll keep far more money in your bank account if you set your sights on this city.
The cost of living index is much lower than both the state and national averages, especially when it

To his Coy Mistress and To the Virgins, To Make Much of Time
Carpe diem is a Latin term used in literature, the use of this term presses readers to seize the
moment. In the chosen poems, the authors mainly try to pursue women, by letting them know that
they have true physical beauty and should take advantage of their good looks while it lasts. The
word carpe diem impacts both poems, To the Virgins, to Make Much of Time by Robert Herrick,
and To His Coy Mistress by Andrew Marvell. In Herrick s poem, To the Virgins, to Make Much of
Time, he describes carpe diem by citing the shortness of life and by trying to persuade young
women to marry and enjoy their youth at its advantage before death. In the poem To His Coy
Mistress , Marvell explains more traits of carpe diem by persuading a certain woman in being
his wife. To persuade her he used examples of time and age fading her beauty and how it will
leave her with nothing once they re gone. Both poems compare to each other by persuading to
seize moments before old age and beauty disappears.
Herrick s To the Virgins, to Make Much of Time fits the meaning of carpe diem by encouraging the
beauty of youth and life itself. His calm and moralizing approach from the personal environment ...

moral consideration of carpe diem. He portrays a personal situation addressing to one woman he
desires and tries to persuade her into loving him. His tone suggests her temperament to make love,

Why Do Books Shouldn T Be Banned
Books shouldn t be banned and i say this with a bold confident voice. The book challenges such
as sexually explicit or offensive language or even violence helps to teach the reader not to do
these things readers understand it s just a book and nothing more in fact the reader will take out
a lot out of books like that because it teaches them the effects and consequences if that reader did
decide to go down one of those paths. I believe strongly that us American citizens we are free and

Online therapy is professional counseling services that are offered over the internet. Online therapy
allows clients and professionals to communicate over the internet without having to communicate in
the traditional office visits. In addition, online therapy allows clients and patients to attend online
counseling in which the clients will feel more comfortable and less intimidated.
On the other hand, clients are more likely to be open and honest when communicating through

Soviet Aggression And Its Effects On The World War II

At the beginning of 1930s, the international system changed. There have been significant
changes in all capitalist countries and, as a result of it, the undemocratic leaders get the power,

especially after elections of 1933 in Germany, when Hitler came to power. According to a fast

Article 231, also well known as the War Guilt Article, was the starting clause of the payment part of
the Treaty of Versailles, which stopped the First World War between the German Empire and the
Allied Associated Powers. The article provided a legal background to enforce Germany to pay
compensations for the war.
Clause 231 was one of the most argumentative bit of the treaty. It stated:
The Allied and Associated Governments affirm and Germany accepts the responsibility of
Germany and her allies for causing all the loss and damage to which the Allied and Associated
Governments and their nationals have been subjected as a consequence of the war imposed upon
them by the aggression of Germany and her allies.
Germans considered this article as a ethnic abasement, imposing Germany to take entire
responsibility for causing the conflict. German legislators tried to encounter the article verbally in
an attempt to create international affinity, while German annalists were focused on undermining
the article with an aim of overturning the entire pact. The Allied rulers were astonished with the
German attitude, they found the clause as the only a crucial juridical base to get reimbursement
from Germany.

Love Of Love By Pablo Neruda

Each country today has faced the heart rending impacts of colonization and imperialization, clothed
in the ideas of modernization and contemporary thoughts, their effects cannot be camouflaged to a
great extent. The present still continues to be a doubtful chronicle of the history of the respective
nations in question clouded by the diverse issues of linguistic and cultural transpositions ,
alienation and loss, or for that matter the conflict in race. However, many poets have and continue
to document the gruesome impact these wars have had on the masses. Some such tales are
narrated by the Chilean poet Pablo Neruda who can be seen as the representative poet of the entire

who are nothing but mere objects of this love. In poems like Tonight I can write.. with lines like
she loved me/ sometimes I loved her too Neruda seems to be ambiguous regarding his feeling
towards the woman and therefore , he comes across as somebody who loves the idea of love more
than the woman and hence , he now can write the saddest lines .

Piety And Wisdom In Plato s Five Dialogues By Socrates
Wisdom is a loosely constructed and defined term distinct from person to person; however in the
Athenian period, citizens believed the wise should have a sense of utmost piety and maintain a
higher connection with the gods. In Plato s Five Dialogues, Socrates, an elderly man living in the
city of Athens, questions these religious ideas to further his understanding of religionand how
thousands of people are able to connect with unidentified and personified spirits. Socrates prolongs
his skepticism as he explores the idea of piety and encounters a number of religious experts who
end up displaying more hypocrisy and falsehood than wisdom and maturity. Since questioning or
denying the belief of the gods was a crime during the time of Athens, Socrates was put on trial for
the accumulative accusations that his teachings and questionings corrupted the young and hindered
society. In trial, Socrates explicitly separates himself from devious rhetoricand instead utilizes his
observations of the immoral and narcissistic flaws of the Athenian people to defend his goodwill
and appreciation for identifying the unknown.
As Socrates approaches the court during his trial, it becomes evident that he is fighting more than
just one accusation; Socrates is defending himself against the countless, unresearched accusations
that have been made years before, developing the audience s bias and premature decision of
Socrates fate. Therefore, Socrates believes he has a right to state these

Stonewall s dominance was most prevalent in this battle showing his tough roots as a well

Jackson s greatest battles of all, one for the reason in which he received his name and, two, for
which his true character shows.
Stonewall s father died when Stonewall was very young, leaving him without a father figure to

Three Model Hydraulic Movements
We built three model hydraulic lifts using syringes with pistons of different areas and metal wall
plates. The syringes act as hydraulic cylinders.
First we built the model lifts, which involves attaching the top of another syringe s piston to the
back of a metal plate with epoxy and then connecting the master syringe to the slave syringe with
tubing.
Every lift had a 12 cubic centimeter (cc) master hydraulic cylinder but each had one of three
different other hydraulic cylinders: 12 cc, 35 cc, and 60 cc.
You will use water as the hydraulic fluid.
Prepare the metal plates. The metal plates will hold the weights while the other piston will lift the
plate and the weights.

Make sure the master piston is pulled out all the way, so the piston is all the way down.

the hydraulic fluid is delivered, the piston and the metal plate will rise.
Pull the master piston back out all the way, fully lowering the other piston.
Increase the weight by about 100 grams until it falls.
You may find that with heavier weights, with the piston fully extended, the vise may start to tumble.

Societal Values In Homer s Iliad And Women In Genesis
The women in Homer s Iliad and the women in Genesis both exhibit the accepted societal values in
a woman through their duties as wives, which typically consisted of obedience and the ability to
sustain their husband s lineage. Rebekah and Andromache both assume their roles as wives, but
sometimes act in ways outside of the what was considered normal in their society. Though both
Rebekah and Andromache maintain the classic role of a wife, they occasionally contradict the
expectations of how a womanshould behave by making decisions traditionally made by men.
Through revolutionary behaviors demonstrated by both women, they grant themselves more
authority and power in decision making, which in turn affects the fate of each woman s family.
Both Andromache and Rebekah share a parallel in terms of their roles in carrying out the fate of
their families, however what ultimately distinguishes one from the other is how successful they are
at sustaining those roles.
In the Iliad, Homer displays societal norms placed for wives through the actions of Andromache,
yet at the same time, conveys her as having more power and involvement in the family than what
was expected for a woman at the time to have. In her encounter with her husband, Hector,
Andromache establishes one of her main roles of trying to manipulate fate (moira) through
attempting to prevent him from returning to the war and facing his inevitable death. She pleas for
him to show some pity and stay here by the tower, don t

Monster Culture Thesis
Since the first horror films were produced over a hundred years ago, they have managed to keep
people shivering in terror. For a few, it is the actual monster that is the most frightening, but for the
majority, what lies beneath the surface is what brings the most terror. The visually stimulated fear
of the actual monster tends to fade, but the deeper rooted fears that the monster represents tend to
have a much longer lasting impression on the viewer. Horror films of the forties and fifties
appealed to the publics fearof war and nuclear attack, and horror films of today appeal to fears in
much of the same way. Many modern day horror films manage to strike fear in the widest audience
by appealing to their childhood fears such as the dark, strangers, or creepy clowns.... Show more

that we can not control that replace them; some adults fear the government, while others simply
fear what the future brings. Contrary to this, when we are children we all tend to fear many of the
same things. It is for this reason that the majority of horror films have tended to appeal to
childhood fears; they are similar for many people and appeal to the fears of the widest

Globalization Is A Major Point Of Negativity
Globalization is defined in many ways. Globalization generally refers to the expansion of global
communications, growing social and political interdependence and the development of a
planetary rather than national awareness among many of the world s people (Anderson, 98).
The process of globalization is allowing people from all over the world be more interconnected
with one another. The process is seen in many different ways. Our clothing is no longer made in
the United States, today we look at the tags and see Made in Indonesia or Product of Venezuela .
Many companies such as Microsoft, Nike, and Wal Mart are reaching people in places that were
not considered feasible markets only 30 years ago. Globalizationhas been a subject to controversy
by both the richest and the poorest of countries. Outsourcing is a major point of negativity in this
new interconnected world. Many jobs are lost from workers in the developed nations and sent to
developing nations who will supply workers for less.
There are many causes of globalization. We cannot put our finger on any one particular change in
our culture that has led to the larger interconnectedness of nations. Globalization has been around
for a long time, going back to mercantilism of the 16th through 18th centuries. Today s vast
globalization may be attributed to the formation of the United Nations in 1945. Along with the
United Nations, the creation of the World Trade Organization has accelerated this trend with trade

Poetry Research And Analysis Essay
Poetry Research and Analysis Essay
Persuasive
Wouldn t it be great if everything was just black and white, unfortunately that s not always the
case? To me, the answer to the question regarding song lyrics being poetry is more complicated
than yes or no. I think it falls in the gray area in the middle. In respect to that, I will discuss the fact
that poetry and songs can be different in structure yet very similar in meaning; that without the
voice implemented in the music, songs loose poetic and emotional value; and that the amount of
literary merit does not define something as poetry and something that is not.
Research

I agree strongly with this fact, a haiku and its three lines and 17 words is just as much poetry as an
epic. Literary devices do not define something as poetry or not.
Analysis
Despite the similarities, and plethora of areas to compare these two a distinction should be
made. While both are intertwined with the usage of literary devices they should not be
compared. With that being said, the artist who I believe most successfully infuses his lyrics with
poetic strokes is Logic. Therefore, the rest of this essay will be devoted to analyzing and
celebrating Logic s two pieces, Black Spiderman and Flexicution Logic or Robert Bryson Hall came
from a broken home where he didn t always have someone to look up to. However through music
he found a man he could idolize. Robert Bryson Hall also refers to himself as Young Sinatra , as
Frank Sinatra s work has had a huge impression on him ( Logic s Biography 1). Logic, like
Sinatra, started his music career at a young age. Unlike his idol though Logic s childhood was
very rough as both his parents were alcoholic and addicted to drugs ( Logic s Biography 1).
Logic s troubled childhood took place in a smaller town in Maryland just north of Washington
D.C. Every person has their skeletons they try to find an escape from, Logic s escape was film.

Moname In Peril Part 1 Analysis
In the passage Freddy in Peril part 1 and 2 by Dietlof Reiche Freddy the golden hamster point of
view help influence the story when Professor Fleishkopf wanted to get Freddy all for himself.
Freddy was reading over what he had just wrote on the Mac when he heard the door open down
stairs. That was not very weird. He was listening for the door closing, but he did not hear anything.
The next thing that Freddy did hear was footsteps getting closer and closer then he heard a jiggling
ВЁAs if someone had removed a bunch of keys from his pocketВЁ Freddy thought. After that he
just stood there not moving just listening. I think that this can describe that Freddy is a little scared,
a little curious about what is happening and a bit confused.

Essay on Concussions in Football
Even though football players are aware of the dangers the game can bring upon them, they take
part despite it. The passion, the joy it creates; for professionals it s also the devoted fans and
compensation they receive is what keeps the players motivated. Today players are much bigger,
faster, smarter, bigger, better. The game is more physical. The sport has never been so
competitive. The popularity has reached new peaks, as much that the NFL has thoughts of moving
a team to London, England. Additionally, Super Bowl XLVII (47) was one of the most watched
television events of all time; an astonishing 108.4 million viewers (The Associated Press). Fans
worship their teams and love to see big hits. Football is a contact sport; injuries are no... Show more

Most importantly this sort of injury is linked to CTE (chronic traumatic encephalopathy).
CTE is a brain disease found in individuals with annals of head trauma. It has specifically been
found in athletes with numerous concussions. So far it can only be diagnosed in the deceased,
but Dr. Julian Bales and his staff in UCLA have discovered symptoms in living players such as
Hall of Famer Anthony Tony Dorsett, Hall of Famer Joe DeLamielleure, and NFL All Pro
Leonard Marshall. CTE can cause memory loss, dementia, depression, suicidal thoughts,
cognitive and emotional difficulties (Waldron par 1, 2, 3). Is it a compelling issue? A total of
171 concussions were reported in the NFL in the 2012 2013 season; 88 thus far in the 2013 2014
season (Frontline pt). Those are just numbers in the professional level. There are thousands of
kids playing football either in youth, middle school, high school, or college level. The diagnosis is
currently in progress, researchers are optimistic this could lead to a legitimate treatment, how to
manage, and hopefully a cure. Furthermore, this can also possibly lead to an answer to a
connection between football and chronic traumatic encephalopathy. Junior Seau, Mike Webster,
Terry Long, and Justin Strzelczyk (all of whom are dead now) are all men who played in the NFL
for an extent period of time. This is not the only thing they have in common. These former players

Benefits Of A Company On The World One Car At A Time
A company taking its focus on saving the world one car at a time, is not only creative but a wise
position. Nowadays, a lot of people have heard something about climate change regardless if
they see it as a problem they have heard something about it. Zipcar is providing people a way to
be stewards of creation and allows them to empower people to make a responsible decision with
their lives. Zipcar customers must be responsible as they are entrusting them with a huge asset and
the people that are well informed seem to have some correlation with being responsible. In order of
Zipcar to be successful it s customers do not have to understand how our environmentis depleting
around us, but because of their focus their idea the company has attracted a lot of environmentally
friend people. Zipcar also makes it hard for others to compete with them as they are already branded
on saving the environment and convenience. Not only is Zipcar focused on saving the environment
they are saving their customers money, which I find interesting due to the fact it is similar to
renting and over the long term renting isn t better than owning. However, positioning on saving
both environment and consumers money is becoming a huge trend in urban areas.
It seems to be clear that people who use Zipcar see themselves as set apart form society and as a
result of their decision they are intelligent and responsible. The case makes that clear with one of
their customers talking about another Zipcar user,

A Cross-Sectional Survey
Are you having troubles recalling phone numbers? A recent study by MarГa Victoria SebastiГЎn
and Roberto Mediavilla on a Spanish population discovered that in general, people s ability to
recall numbers decreased with age, and gender and education level might have a role. So this
may explain why your ability to recall phone numbers is not as good as it was 50 years ago. Or
maybe this is a warning for you. The procedure of this study, exact results and implications as to
why this happens is described below. This cross sectional study (participants of different ages
being tested at the same time) was conducted on roughly 1000 people who speak Spanish ranging
from ages 30 95 years old (Sebastian and Mediavilla 2014). The experimenters tested

Comparison Of The Redgate Company Vs. Apple Inc.
III. Comparison
Both Redgate Company and Apple Inc. have used motivation and understanding and managing
work teams in training their employees to become more productive and work efficiently. Although
both of the company choose the same topics, the method they used in motivation and managing
work teams are different from each other. However, both of the company still have the same
objectives which are enhancing individual creativity and to provide stimulating environments.
a) Comparison in motivation
First of all, Redgate Company and Apple Inc. uses the method intrinsic motivation in motivating
their employees. The Redgate Company uses the intrinsic motivation by issuing a challenge
called Coding by the Sea to their employees. The idea of the challenge was proposed in
November 2009 from the CEO of the company, Neil Davidson. He sent an email to every
employee of the company which stated, if the employee are willing to trying up something new
and have a sense of adventure, they will be provided with accommodation and all expenses are paid

However the Redgate Company has their own principle that motivation isn t about carrots and
sticks which they believe that threat of punishment and constant surveillance are not compatible
with any great fulfilling work. They also believe in generating appropriate restrain and then the
employee can have the freedom to excel. (Red Gate Employee Innovation, 2016) This is the main
reason why Redgate Company is setting a flexible working hours for their employees. They
believed that flexible working hours will motivate the staff as the staff do not need to work during
the normal office. Eventually, the employee will not feel any pressure at work and can work
productively because they are satisfied about the balance hour between their work and personal
lives. Furthermore, the work deadlines are more realistic. (Companies,

Regenerative Wound Medicine
Regenerative medicine such as tissue replacement and wound healing has been used quite
extensively for skin treatments over the years. Understanding the pathology of skin injury will
bring effective treatments and wound healing outcomes. Several strategies like traditional skin
grafts, certain biomaterials, and stem cell therapies are vital for current tissue injuries and the future
of tissue regeneration.
Introduction and Pathology
The skin is said to be the largest organ in a human body. It is divided into 3 layers: epidermis
(outer layer or superficial layer of the skin), dermis (connective tissue, hair follicles, and sweat
glands), hypodermis (subcutaneous fat) (Chen, 2009). These layers act as a barrier by protecting
the body from environmental ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Stem cells are multipotent which give rise to multiple cell types and are known for their self
renewing and tissue differentiation abilities. Research has shown SCs to have successful results in
the field of skin regeneration (Duscher, 2016). SCs of interest for wound healing include adult
mesenchymal stem cells (MSC s), embryonic stem cells (ESC s), and induced pluripotent stem
cells (IPSC s). MSCs are isolated mainly from the bone marrow and other tissues such as adipose
and nerve tissues and are administered locally as well as systemically with little to no
immunoreactivity (Tartarini, 2016). MSCs regenerative benefits in wound injury is not seen in its
structural capabilities rather it s seen in its escape of trophic mediators (Duscher, 2016). Bone
marrow MSCs injected in wound sites produce high amounts of collagen and growth factors
leading to faster healing, epithelialization, angiogenesis, and cellularity (Duscher, 2016). Studies
also show that bone marrow derived MSCs injected in injury sites had decreased wound size,
increased vascularity and dermal thickness (Duscher, 2016). Although MSCs for wound therapy has
been proven effective and well tolerated in patients, there still seems to be limitations such as
invasiveness of their harvest, cost of resources, and hazards that deal with growing cell cultures to
attain healing

The Sandinista Revolution

The following research will discuss how the Nicaraguan Economy was affected by the revolution
between 1976 1979. The funding of the United States was giving to Nicaragua and it not going to

research will be concentrate upon 1976 1979. Some topics that will be talked about will be what
was the actual Sandinista Revolution, what the economy was before the revolution and how it was
affected after. Some of the sources I will use would be, The Aftermath of the Sandinista Revolution

In 1967, a man known as Anastasio Somoza, was announced as president. Since his father,
Somoza Garcia, was already disliked it did not help him at all when he was announced president.
Anastasio let the power of being president get over his head and eventually enriched himself. In
civilians eyes he was corrupt and he proved that when an earthquake hit Nicaragua. He had declared
to use the emergency powers and while that took place he headed a different direction. He decided
to steal the aid coming in for Nicaragua for himself. This was one of the main reasons why the
Sandinista Revolution came to be, known as the Sandinista National Liberation Front. The
Sandinistas did not believe that the message they were trying to get towards the Nicaraguan
business negotiators so they decided to take things into their own hands and measures. This lead to
the kidnapping of certain powerful people in politics to make a statement towards them. the
Sandinistas continued to revolt towards the regime and started to gain support of Costa Rica,
Panama, Venezuela, and Cuba. This continuation of fighting the regime went on until the middle of
1979, when the Somoza Rule had lost power of Nicaragua. The Sandinistas gained control of the
new government of Nicaragua. Once the Sandinistas gained control of Nicaragua, drastic changes
took place. Somoza had decided to run for president even though it was unconstitutional. The
Constitution states that the terms of presidency is only 2 terms as is in the United States, but
Somoza did not care and ran presidency again as a third term. The economy went down after that
as well. The Sandinistas had at first thought of helping the people but power made them see and

Internal Revenue Code section 1221 defines capital asset as property held by the taxpayer (whether
or not connected with his trade or business), but does not include (1) Stock in trade of the
taxpayer or other property of a kind which would properly be included in the inventory of the
taxpayer if on hand at the close of the taxable year, or property held by the taxpayer primarily for
sale to customers in the ordinary course of his trade or business. As defined, Haig Simmons
anthracite coal home heating and delivery service business holds anthracite coal in the ordinary
course of business and therefore, is not considered a capital asset. Section 64 defines ordinary
income as income earned from providing services or the sale of goods (inventory) which is not
a capital asset. Based on this definition, any asset that does not classify as a capital asset is an
ordinary asset. Since Haig Simmons was providing home coal heating services for consumers, any
inventory kept was for the purpose of maintaining a steady, stable, and regular supply of coal and
not held as a long term asset for future sale gains.

Exercise Is A Good And Normal Way For Lose Weight
Did you know, the percent of adults who are obese in the United States is 34.9% now, and it was
continually getting larger in the recent years (CDC)? What a surprise that more than 1 out of 3
adults are obese in our country. Obesity can cause various health problems, such as high blood
pressure, diabetes, coronary heart disease, or even directly cause death. So, it is time to control
and prevent obesity. Exercise is a good and normal way to lose weight, but Melinda Moyer
discusses about another way, reducing the amount of carbs in people s daily lives. She leads
readers to explore the relation between carbs rich diet and obesity or chronic disease. Even
though some other theories like low fat diet were supported in the history, more facts and
evidence prove that low carbs diet is the best way to solve the problem. Moyer uses pathos, ethos
and logos to persuade her audience to against carbs, and choose low carb diet in her article
Against The Grains. Pathos is the strategy that is used in some sections of the article to appeal to
audience s emotions. Moyer promptly attracts readers attention by starting the article with her
own experience of weight loss. She says she lost 15 pounds because of the wheat free diet
(Moyer 2). It may let readers (especially who are obese, and looking for an efficient way to lose
their weight) excited about this fact, and curious about how and why wheat free diet helps with
weight loss. Then, the readers will go through the following content

Essay On Thomas Paine Hero
Thomas Paine Hero or Zero
Thomas Paine was decidedly important to America from his very humble beginnings. In order to
understand what helped him become so important, how he grew up and what led him to the United
States must be examined. Paine was trying to explain to the Americans that without God nothing
was possible. Paine also explained to them that the way the British government was being run is
not the way to run America. By the end of Paine s life, it become abundantly clear that Paine was
no longer America s hero. Paine s many writings included The Crisis , Common Sense , and The
Age of Reason all of which were extremely influential to the American people. However, throughout
the duration of his writings, it was apparent that Thomas Paine went from being a person that

The Age of Reason was when Paine s great reputation as being a prime mover was ruined. It is
one of the ironies of the literary and theological world that The Age of Reason , which, although
written to express the author s doubts regarding traditional religion, was intended primarily to
save the world from atheism, brought against Paine the charge of atheism (The Age of Reason
1). Paine let his beliefs get him into a lot of trouble. Paine s Christian beliefs brought out his
bitter criticism of atheism. The Christian system of faith, he says, seems to be a species of
atheism, a kind of denial of God, for it believes in a man rather than in the true God and interposes
between man and his maker an opaque body, which calls a Redeemer (The Age of Reason 3).
When Americans who once worshipped Paine started reading his thoughts on religion, they began
to change how they felt about him. Upon his return to the United States in the 1800 s, he found that
his writing The Age of Reason left him essentially

Dynamic Duo V. Dynamic Partners Case
Primarily, I would recommend that Dynamic Duo seek legal advice and contact an attorney to
advise them of the situation at hand. All the more, I would highly recommend that Dynamic Duo
consult with an attorney who regularly practices OSHA law regarding their rights and defenses
when an OSHA citation has been received. Therefore, by implementing a lawyer that regularly
practices OSHA law would help counsel and contest or challenge proposed citations and penalties.
Furthermore, experienced OSHA lawyers understand the detailed regulations and OSHA s
practices and can often negotiate lower penalties and much better abatement terms for the
employer. I would also immediately record any and all injuries up to this point that many
employees have received. I would then immediately take care of any violations listed by OSHA....

then follow through with a contest proceeding if the informal conference proves unsuccessful. It is
imperative to inform Dynamic Duo that during the informal conference, it is very important that
the employer displays support for the company and carefully listen to all the allegations presented.
Therefore, OSHA Area Directors may decide to provide the photos and facts they claim support the
citation during this meeting. It is advisable to make detailed notes of all the evidence OSHA
presents. Additionally, it is vital the employer remember that despite the informal setting, he or she
is voluntarily attending a legally binding interview with government inspectors. This is not the time

In Arthur Miller s The Crucible, residents of Salem habitually cry witch , driven by dismay, suspicion, and retribution. Under a strict theocracy, where the court s ruling and religious beliefs are exclusively bound to one another, death is practically inevitable for those branded as witches, their names perpetually tarnished. From atop his high horse, one may look upon The Crucible and harshly judge the irrational actions of Salem s community; however, human emotion drove these injudicious acts, the very raw emotion that often overpowers logic in today s society. Fear that witches were truly among the community of Salem, performing dark magic and wreaking havoc, propelled witch hunters to raid the town. Paranoia. The declaration of Salem s most admired individuals to have been involved in witchcraft gave residents the excuse to suspect any soul of wrongdoing. Vengeance. Jealousy and dislike spurred citizens to accuse their foes, utilizing witchcraft to justify their personal vendetta. When Salem s women were stigmatized as witches, two groups were born. Those who believed in the children s witchcraft allegations, acting primarily on emotion, and those who declared the children of pretense, acting predominantly on logic. However, the group motivated by fear, paranoia, and vengeance greatly outnumbered those driven by logic in both strength and size. Thus this group, experiencing a psychological phenomenon called groupthink, can be held accountable for the execrable Salem witch trials. Irving Janis, a social psychologist, studied how social behavior is influenced in group settings. In 1972, he coined the name groupthink to describe observed behavioral changes in individuals belonging to groups. Groupthink is characterized by a group s pursuit for unity, often resulting in individual members disregarding or altering their own beliefs to coincide with the majority, or group s, beliefs. This disregard or altercation ensures that the group stays unified; however, results in the group committing illogical actions without considering ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 11. Erickson Reflection This week we learned about Erickson and his theory on development. Erikson studied under the Freud method, but unlike Freud, Erikson actually did research on infants and children as they were developing. I really enjoyed learning about Erikson considering I have a 5 month old at home growing away. It was interesting to compare these videos to where my baby was in development. Another interesting thing about this module was the James Marcia Identity Status which consists of 4 parts foreclosure, achievement, diffusion, and moratorium. Diffusion is when you have not really made a commitment to anything yet. This is typically a high school junior/senior or even college freshman/sophomore. They have not yet figured out what they want to do with life yet and honestly, aren t too worried about. In my diffusion score I received a 5 meaning I guess I am in the middle. I m not too sure if I agree with this accusation or not, but maybe that is why I scored this number. Although I had my career path figured out and I was on the path to it up until a few months ago I feel as though I have started testing the waters in other areas now. These areas are still very close to what my original plan was. Now that I have a family I am focused more now than ever to pick the perfect career for not just me, but my family. These milestones help measure how your baby is developing, such as the first word, or first smile. The Sultan Mome II, or Mehemd (1432 1481), was responsible for the defeat of the Byzantine Empire in 1453, when he claimed for himself the title of caliph, full name of a Muslim political, meaning sovereign over all Muslims. It was the first time a Turkish Ottoman, not an Arab, received the title of caliph. It was then that Constantinople was renamed Istanbul. The cultural and political legacy of the Ottoman Empire still reflects up today in Arab nations such as Turkey and Saudi Arabia. In the capital of Turkey, Istanbul, there are examples of art and architecture Muslim living with art and Byzantine architecture, product of Christian orthodoxy. The most sumptuous monuments are the Church of St. Sophia and the Blue Mosque. Since then, the Ottoman Empire came to dominate a region that included Anatolia, the Balkans, North Africa, the Arabian Peninsula and much of Asia Minor. Fate has a place in the Greek world but is place is not the same as it is in other scenarios or worlds. It is important to understand the word before we discuss it. Fate as far as Greek mythology goes is not just fate, by most standards fate is described as things that occur for an unknown reason that no one has any control over. Ann, a critic of The Odyssey says, Blaming the gods for your faults doesn t always work, though. There s a difference between having a fate and accepting your fate. The real heroes never give in. In the story, the narrator longs to be an Indian suddenly vigilant on a galloping horse, until eventually he loses the spurs and the reins, because he doesn t need them, and the horse s neck and head vanish (Kafka 64). Essentially, he is saying that he longs for a freedom he does not have. He wishes to simply ride away from his troubles as an Indian would. For instance, Kawabata illustrates the children: Each day [...] the children made new lanterns out of their hearts and minds. Look at my lantern! Be the most unusually beautiful! (66). Kawabata shows that when in pursuit of insects, one must try to put on the best front. The first child who went looking eventually discards his red lantern, because it was too boring. Each day the children make new ones to try to have the best, just as young adults do when pursuing a partner. We each try to have the most flashy personality and look. Therefore, the lanterns are a type of mask that the children put on to find the most attractive bug. The grasshopper, then, is the type of beautiful person one wants to find, and the bell cricket is the less appealing insect. Kawabata suggests that the bell cricket is the better bug, for there are not many bell crickets in the world (67). Probably, Kawabata says, you will find a girl like a grasshopper whom you think is a bell cricket (67). In the end, though, even a true bell cricket will seem like a grasshopper (Kawabata 68). These sentences seem confusing at first, but ultimately Kawabata is saying that the person you want may not be what they seem, the person you find may be more than they appear, and the person you love will be beautiful to you, even if they are not. To his Coy Mistress and To the Virgins, To Make Much of Time Carpe diem is a Latin term used in literature, the use of this term presses readers to seize the moment. In the chosen poems, the authors mainly try to pursue women, by letting them know that they have true physical beauty and should take advantage of their good looks while it lasts. The word carpe diem impacts both poems, To the Virgins, to Make Much of Time by Robert Herrick, and To His Coy Mistress by Andrew Marvell. In Herrick s poem, To the Virgins, to Make Much of Time, he describes carpe diem by citing the shortness of life and by trying to persuade young women to marry and enjoy their youth at its advantage before death. In the poem To His Coy Mistress , Marvell explains more traits of carpe diem by persuading a certain woman in being his wife. To persuade her he used examples of time and age fading her beauty and how it will leave her with nothing once they re gone. Stonewall and his troops stood their ground and fought furiously pushing the Union troops into a quick retreat. Union troops with such surprise and heavy casualties fled as fast as they could back to the general direction of Washington ultimately giving a slight victory to the Confederates. Stonewall s dominance was most prevalent in this battle showing his tough roots as a well disciplined renowned military leader that he was. I believe that this is one of Thomas Stonewall Jackson s greatest battles of all, one for the reason in which he received his name and, two, for which his true character shows. Stonewall s father died when Stonewall was very young, leaving him without a father figure to mold him into a respectable man. Not only was Jackson without a father, but he was without any male role model as well. Stonewall was left to live under his mother as a middle child between two sibling sisters. Growing up with only a mother and two sisters would have left the chances of young Thomas to be a great military leader someday very slim. This is where Cummins Jackson comes into play. • 38. Three Model Hydraulic Movements We built three model hydraulic lifts using syringes with pistons of different areas and metal wall plates. The syringes act as hydraulic cylinders. First we built the model lifts, which involves attaching the top of another syringe s piston to the back of a metal plate with epoxy and then connecting the master syringe to the slave syringe with tubing. Every lift had a 12 cubic centimeter (cc) master hydraulic cylinder but each had one of three different other hydraulic cylinders: 12 cc, 35 cc, and 60 cc. You will use water as the hydraulic fluid. • 39. Societal Values In Homer s Iliad And Women In Genesis The women in Homer s Iliad and the women in Genesis both exhibit the accepted societal values in a woman through their duties as wives, which typically consisted of obedience and the ability to sustain their husband s lineage. Rebekah and Andromache both assume their roles as wives, but sometimes act in ways outside of the what was considered normal in their society. Though both Rebekah and Andromache maintain the classic role of a wife, they occasionally contradict the expectations of how a womanshould behave by making decisions traditionally made by men. Through revolutionary behaviors demonstrated by both women, they grant themselves more authority and power in decision making, which in turn affects the fate of each woman s family. Both Andromache and Rebekah share a parallel in terms of their roles in carrying out the fate of their families, however what ultimately distinguishes one from the other is how successful they are at sustaining those roles. In the Iliad, Homer displays societal norms placed for wives through the actions of Andromache, yet at the same time, conveys her as having more power and involvement in the family than what was expected for a woman at the time to have. In her encounter with her husband, Hector, Andromache establishes one of her main roles of trying to manipulate fate (moira) through attempting to prevent him from returning to the war and facing his inevitable death. For a few, it is the actual monster that is the most frightening, but for the majority, what lies beneath the surface is what brings the most terror. The visually stimulated fear of the actual monster tends to fade, but the deeper rooted fears that the monster represents tend to have a much longer lasting impression on the viewer. Horror films of the forties and fifties appealed to the publics fearof war and nuclear attack, and horror films of today appeal to fears in much of the same way. To me, the answer to the question regarding song lyrics being poetry is more complicated than yes or no. I think it falls in the gray area in the middle. In respect to that, I will discuss the fact that poetry and songs can be different in structure yet very similar in meaning; that without the voice implemented in the music, songs loose poetic and emotional value; and that the amount of literary merit does not define something as poetry and something that is not.
