Unfortunately, very few of the ICs are targeted for implementation in primary batteries – especially batteries with the unique attributes that often characterize primary lithium batteries. As a result, finding an existing semiconductor solution for state-of-charge determination in primary lithium batteries is a challenging endeavor.
This paper presents the development process of an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) targeted for implementation into primary lithium batteries. Specifically, this ASIC was developed to address the need for a state-of-charge solution in the BA-5590 LiSO2 and BA-5390 LiMnO2.
Working with the Mainstay team, the Cisco IOT Manufacturing Marketing team combined research from manufacturing trade associations, management consulting research and an internal benchmarking project to create an Executive Briefing Presentation that would educate CxOs on the opportunities IOT can provide. We know we want to create products which our customers find to be valuable. Whether we label it as customer-centric or product-led depends on how long we've been doing product management. 2. Overview:
Essar Steel is a global integrated steel producer with an annual capacity of 14 million tons with
a strong presence in intensive steel consuming markets of Asia and North America. Essar Steel
India is an integrated steel producer with an annual production capacity of 10 million tons.
Essar Steel’s manufacturing facility comprises ore beneficiation, pellet making, iron making,
steel making, and downstream facilities including cold rolling mill, galvanising, pre-coated
facility, steel processing facility, extra wide plate mill and a pipe mill. The steel plant located at
Hazira has modern infrastructure like a power plant and a port that can handle 30 million ton
cargo annually.
Challenges:
Essar Steel wanted to translate the real time production details into visual indication at
production area from their SCADA server. This real time visual indication of production will help
reduce delay and enhance the productivity.
3. Solution:
Compucare with its expertise was able to rise up to the challenge of Essar Steel by integrating
their SCADA Server with LED Message Display Board. Ten LED Message Display Board’s has
been implemented in the production area. Each LED Message Display Board to display the real
time production of a particular department. The supplied LED Message Sign Boards are single
sided with bright RED LED display, the display boards are clearly visible from an optimum
distance of 10 meters and is designed to suit their factory condition.
How LED Message Board Solution for Real Time Dynamic Production is achieved?
The real time production data arrives at the SCADA Server for each production
department.
The real time production data is fetched from the SCADA Server and pushed to the LED
Message Display Board software at the backend.
The New production data is displayed in corresponding LED Message Display Board in
the production area from centrally managed LED software via TCP/IP line.
Automatic query is run to fetch the production data from the SCADA server periodically.
The fetched data is then updated periodically on the LED Message Display Boards in the
production area.
