It is starting to warm up again.
The days are hotter and so are
the nights. The grass is starting

and there is not much rain. There
are more mosquitoes now.
7. Kurrung-Hot Dry
Season
August to October
There is hardly any water left in
the billabong. A billabong is a water
hole along a creek. It is like a pond.
There is no water left because
there hasn’t been any rain for many
months and the sun has dried up the
water. The water has evaporated.
8. Kurnumeleng-
Pre Monsoon Season
October to December
It is very hot and humid
during this time. So while it is
hot, the air feels damp. It is
hard to get washing dry during
these months. There are
thunderstorms nearly every
day.
