Lego® Serious Play® in a Nutshell - by StrategicPlay®StrategicPlay®
LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® is a process that uses LEGO bricks to envision, prototype, and explore solutions to complex problems. Participants build models representing their ideas and visions, and use the models to tell stories and make sense of information in a way that fosters empathy, shared understanding, ownership, and imagination. The process involves skills building, identifying identities, mapping landscapes, exploring scenarios, considering emergent possibilities, and developing guiding principles. The goal is to help groups co-create strategies in an engaging hands-on way.
Flipping Classrooms for Deeper LearningPip Cleaves
This document discusses flipping the classroom to increase deeper learning. It notes that flipping helps all students excel by allowing them to pause and rewatch lessons. Flipping allows teachers to better know their students and provide real differentiation. A flipped classroom is defined as using videos for direct instruction outside of class, while using class time for interaction and applying knowledge. The document outlines the "flipping flow" process of curating, creating, communicating, and continuing lessons. It provides examples of tools for each step to design an effective flipped classroom model.

Gone are the days of having to discuss the existence and importance of a social media presence for schools. Faculty, students, parents, stakeholders, potential families and employees, and a people-network, vital to your organization, are expecting interaction, curated information and just in time news updates. Who is the lead storyteller at your school? Social Media has changed the way we communicate, curate, archive and disseminate information. Schools no longer push out content as a one sided conversation. Who is overseeing what, when and how something is being said about your school? How do schools harness the power of social media and embed authentic, collaborative, and networked communication, learning and marketing?
This document provides information and resources for flipping the traditional classroom model to make better use of face-to-face class time. It recommends creating video lessons for students to watch outside of class to free up class time for active, collaborative activities. It then lists and describes various free digital tools and platforms that can be used to create video lessons, activities, and assessments for a flipped classroom approach. The goal is to engage struggling students through mobile and interactive learning.
Video Tools for Teachers - Digital VideoNik Peachey
This presentation is based on my book - Digital Video - A manual for language teachers. It covers a range of uses for video in language learning as both communication and content. A number of tools are presented and a range of activities.
My recent presentation from the East Midlands Learning Technology Winter 2015 meeting discussing and highlighting the power of Digital Assessment for teachers, students and schools.
Despite the myth of "digital natives," most of my students have very little experience using technology as anything more than a consumer device. It doesn't have to be this way. By using the design thinking cycle, teachers can foster creative thinking in every content area.
This document discusses perspectives on the role of technology in developing giftedness and talent. It explores how technology can transform education from a focus on hunting and gathering information to curating content. Examples are given of technological tools and platforms that can serve as playgrounds for creativity, exploration and discovery. The importance of cultivating curiosity, courage and constancy is emphasized. Overall, the document advocates embracing technology to fuel curiosity and prepare students for an unknown future.
The document discusses leadership in the digital age and presents strategies for building self-confidence and leadership skills. Some key points covered include embracing one's worth through daily affirmation, owning one's personal brand and story by sharing it publicly, acting with courage to pursue passions and dreams, and making an impact through brave actions and networking using hashtags. The overall message is about developing leadership skills that allow one to make an "epic impact."

Du kan se programmet for dagen her.

Borgerne vil bibliotekerne – vil politikerne?
