- 3. Technology revolution Students are not defined by what they know, but by what they are capable of knowing ant the way how they get there
- 4. Teachers We have to provide our students with knowledge that will allow them to create ideas to act conscientiously and critically in making decisions through their life projects
- 5. Teachers We have to motivate our students. It’s our responsability to guide them and it’s necessary to control everything is happening in our class

What is PEER MEDIATION It’s the process by which the participants, together with the assistance of a neutral person or persons systematically isolate disputed issues in order to develop options, consider alternatives, and reach a consensual settlement that will accomodate their needs. Mediation is a process that emphasises the participants own responsability for making decisions that affect their lives.

- 9. How might peer mediation be a benefit to a school? Benefits for secondary school - Students assume greater responsability for solving their own problems - Students gain life-time skills including communication - May help reduce bullying in school Benefits for student mediator - It develops social, language and leadership skills - role of mediator increases self-esteem Benefits for staff - Less time spent dealing with minor issue - Fewer conflicts flowing into classroom Benefits for whole school - A safer and more harmonious school environment - Reduce incidents of bullying - Improves overall school climate through better student relatioships
