- The Nifty closed significantly lower, losing 114 points, while the Sensex fell 366 points, as markets were weighed down by weakness in banks, IT, realty and capital goods stocks.

2. MARKET WRAP
Nifty ended significantly down losing 114 pts and Sensex was down 366 pts.
Germany Industrial production m/m came better than expected at 2.8% vs 0.8%
Euro markets were red with CAC worst losing 50 pts. Dow was down 53 points.
The Nifty closed below 5000 in late trade to end at the lowest point of the day and with
huge losses after a sell-off seen in banks (following poor Q4 earnings), IT, realty and
capital goods. Global weakness weighed on the Indian markets too as uncertainty
loomed large over Europe post election results in France and Greece.
