1. Equipment
Canon dSLR Camera & Tripod
Within this project I have used this equipment
to record the footage required for the
construction of my music video. The camera's
abilities such as the manual focus helped to
keep those shots from appearing blurred or
distorted. Although, including being able to film
the camera took photographs of locations,
props, people that were incorporated into
different sections of the coursework such as the
planning and digipak.
The tripod helped to eliminate shake on some
of the footage where warranted and to steady
the camera when focusing in long shots
2. Digital Storage Devices
USB flash drives and memory cards contain all the files, from
documents to clips, allowing the work to be accessed on any
computer with the relevant software. The memory cards slot
into the camera enabling the amount of storage to increase
enough to hold a greater amount of footage and photographs.
3. Computer
Throughout the project I have used a
Windows computer for using the internet
where I updated my blog; for using software
such as Avid and InDesign. Although, a
problem I encountered when using Avid was
that I could only use one specific computer in
which to edit on this caused me to lose some
of the footage in the timeline resolved only
by re-importing the clips and editing them.
Having a two screened computer for editing
on helped to spread out the program so that
the edited work could be seen as well as the
'bins' where all the footage was held.
