For fifty years the Church has exhorted the faithful to engage in a “new evangelization.” The call to be missionaries is especially relevant for Catholic schools where young people are formed as disciples of Christ. This presentation for Catholic school teachers and administrators helps focus their work in the context of the New Evangelization. Participants will gain an understanding of the New Evangelization and learn steps for integrating it into the classroom and school community.

Epiphany Action Plan
- 2. Vision of Epiphany Animated by the Holy Spirit and rooted In the Roman Catholic Tradition, We are the Community of Epiphany on a pilgrimage of faith. In response to our baptismal call and sustained by prayer: We choose to live the Gospel of Christ with humility and compassion. We search for truth in a complex and changing world. We experience the struggle and excitement of transformation through conversion. We accept the responsibility of shared collaborative ministry. We embrace diversity and nurture the unique gifts of all. Believing in a society free from oppression, we heal, reconcile, and work for justice and peace. Celebrating our oneness with God and all of creation, We are Epiphany, A manifestation of God in our times.

- Having listened with open minds and hearts, Having heard the desire for connectedness, And in keeping with the Epiphany Vision Statement, We, the Parish Pastoral Council, offer the Community of Epiphany the following action plans as we renew our continuing faith journey together: Through these ever-changing times, we desire to connect more deeply with our God through relationships with one another and our world, in turn, creating a stronger faith within ourselves. While remaining committed to social responsibility, liturgical excellence, and our Roman Catholic faith; and recognizing that all our new efforts flow from the ongoing work and inspiration of the Holy Spirit already stirring among us in many worthwhile endeavors, we propose these five action steps to our community. Before we begin, let us proclaim our vision together as a community.
