This document provides guidelines and a rubric for Milestone One of ENV 101, which requires students to research a chosen environmental issue using government resources. Students must describe the issue's impact on the environment, human quality of life, and the economy within their state or local community. Specifically, students must address how the issue has impacted (A) the environment, (B) human quality of life with examples, and (C) the local economy, supported by research. The rubric evaluates responses based on use of resources, descriptions of impacts, examples, research, and writing mechanics.
