1) The poem expresses the agony and torment felt by the poet due to his separation from the Prophet Muhammad. 2) The poet's soul has been shattered by the painful ordeal of being apart from the Prophet. 3) The poet pleads that if he is ever honored by the Prophet's presence, he will sacrifice his soul at the Prophet's sacred feet.

The Agony of Separation… (Verses written in love of the Holy Prophet ‫)ﷺ‬
The agony of separation has broken down my entire being;
Intense is the torment; my soul has been fragmented…!
The painful ordeal has thus shattered my soul,
O Prophet ‫ﷺ‬ of Allah.
My unbridled heart has been enervated by the plague of sins,
O Prophet ‫ﷺ‬ of Allah.
If You ‫ﷺ‬ ever honor my deprived being of your (‫ﷺ‬ ) esteemed presence,
I shall gleefully sacrifice my soul to your sacred Na'layn, (the blessed shoes),
O Prophet ‫ﷺ‬ of Allah.
Profoundly is my soul inundated in Your ‫ﷺ‬ Love;
The elegant bond of your compassionate love, binds my heart;
I can never claim that I may ever know the etiquettes of the language of my Divine Love for you
, O Prophet ‫ﷺ‬ of Allah.
My transgressions torment me; my sins have blackened my heart,
I am distressed, I am distressed, I am distressed,
O Prophet ‫ﷺ‬ of Allah.
When You ‫ﷺ‬ raise your noble hands to intercede for the sinners,
Then do not deprive Jami of Your (‫)ﷺ‬ exalted intercession
