The children wave to an old gentleman on the train every morning. When their mother falls ill, the doctor says she needs medicine, fruit, milk and other things to recover but the family cannot afford it. The children write a message on a sheet and wave it at the old gentleman on the train to ask for help. That evening, the old gentleman sends a large box of supplies with all the things the children requested to help their sick mother.

2.  By now the children know the time when the trains
pass.
 Every morning, they will wave to an old gentleman
who always waves back at them.
 They pretended that the old man knows their father
and takes their love to him in London.
 One day, their mother becomes very ill.
 Dr Forest confirmed that their mother was sick and
had stay in bed.
 He told Bobbie that he will give her mother some
medicine and she also needs fruit and milk, and some
other special things to help her recover.

3.  Mother told Bobbie that they are poor and simply
cannot afford to buy all those things.
 The children paint the words, “LOOK OUT AT THE
STATION” on a large white sheet and wave it at the
9.15 train the next day.
 When the train is about ready to leave, Phyllis passes a
letter to the Old Gentleman.
 In the evening, the old gentleman sent all the things
they had asked for and something extra in a large box.
 Perks sent the large box of supplies to the children with
all the things they have asked for.
