English 111 focused on developing writing skills including the writing process, rhetorical concepts, and personal management. Students learned a 5-step writing process and applied it to genre-specific essays, improving as writers. They studied rhetorical techniques like considering audience and used these skills in a PowerPoint presentation. Additionally, students explored time management and budgeting, applying concepts like Kaizen to make positive personal changes. Overall, the course helped the student develop as a writer and student through valuable writing and life skills.
