What are the three simple tenses of the verb?

Simple verb tense can be divided into three
categories: past, present, and future.
• Present Tense:
He writes a letter today.
• Past Tense:
I wrote a letter yesterday.
• Future Tense:
I will write a letter tomorrow.
Tense refers to the form a verb takes in a sentence,
whether to express the present, past or future.

The past tense indicates that an action is
completed and has already taken place.
Example:
Martin Luther King, Jr. gave his most famous speech
in 1963. [an action completed in the past].
As a girl, she wondered how her college degree
