MINING INDUSTRY - POSITIVE OUTLOOK
• Base & Precious Metals Demand & Prices.
o Record growth over last four years largely driven by BRIC Country demand.

• Clients Exploiting Strong Capital Markets to Strengthen Balance Sheet.
o Dramatic and steady increase in equity financings driving increased global
exploration spending by a broad spectrum of companies.

• Exploration Budgets Increased Significantly.
o Exploration budgets increased 50% over 2010 (MEG September 2011).
o Majors increased exploration budgets for ‘frontier drilling’ projects.

• Record Meters Drilled in Second Quarter 2011
o Achieved a record of 155,300 meters, up 80% from 86,000 meters in comparable
      period in 2010.
    o Six Months Ended June 30th 2011: Drilled 281,100 meters, up 50% from 140,400
      in comparable period in 2010.
o 10 consecutive quarters of rising production measured by meters drilled.

                                                                                     4
MINING INDUSTRY – POSITIVE OUTLOOK cont‟d
• Exploration Expenditures
    o 2010 exploration expenditure reached US$12.1 billion (44% increase over 2009)
o 2011 exploration spending on track for $17 billion, well above the 15 year historical
      average

CORE BUSINESS:
FRONTIER DRILLING MARKET; MINING

• The Global Mining Industry is Facing a Major Supply/Demand Imbalance
  for Precious & Base Metals

o Discoveries are becoming more difficult: 51 gold/copper porphyry discoveries
of +3 million ounces during the 1990s, but only 24 of such discoveries
occurred during the 2000s (Source: Frank Holmes, August 2011)

o The deficit of frontier exploration for new mines over the last 20 years
combined with the inherent impediments to new mine development is
expected to sustain and drive pricing for the foreseeable future

o This accelerating market dynamic has stimulated a significant increase in
exploration programs focused on ‘greenfields’ projects

                                                                                   6
CORE BUSINESS:
FRONTIER DRILLING MARKET; MINING cont‟d

• Mining Companies Faced with Drilling in Remote Locations & Areas with
  Increased Social & Environmental Factors

o Major international mining companies are now exploring in more difficult
terrains that were historically left to junior exploration companies

o Only a few proven global service contractors can provide true mobile
drilling services where conventional rig platforms are not suitable

o Energold has significant growth potential using its highly portable rig
platform that can deliver comparable depth capacity to its competitors
utilizing conventional rig platforms (note – conventional rigs represent the
vast majority of the current global supply of rigs).

OUR TECHNOLOGY
• Modular Component Design
o Easy transport globally and within country with quick turnaround times
     between rig setups.

• Proprietary Technology
o Depth capabilities of over 850m with ¼” more in core diameter using Thin
      Wall rod system.
o Competitive portable rigs only reach depths between 200–300m BTW.

• Rigs Built In-House
o Ensures proprietary designs are not copied and we have the capability to
      drive further enhancements.
o Continual upgrades are implemented from input of field personnel.

                                                                                 9
SOCIAL & ENVIRONMENTAL
                                                A social and environmental approach
• Positive SOCIAL Impact to any drilling program leads to a more
                                                  successful outcome for all parties
    o Employment opportunities provided to

• Positive ENVIRONMENTAL Impact
o Highly portable rigs leave a small
      environmental footprint.

MINING INDUSTRY - POSITIVE OUTLOOK • Base & Precious Metals Demand & Prices. o Record growth over last four years largely driven by BRIC Country demand. • Clients Exploiting Strong Capital Markets to Strengthen Balance Sheet. o Dramatic and steady increase in equity financings driving increased global exploration spending by a broad spectrum of companies. • Exploration Budgets Increased Significantly. o Exploration budgets increased 50% over 2010 (MEG September 2011). o Majors increased exploration budgets for ‘frontier drilling’ projects. • Record Meters Drilled in Second Quarter 2011 o Achieved a record of 155,300 meters, up 80% from 86,000 meters in comparable period in 2010. o Six Months Ended June 30th 2011: Drilled 281,100 meters, up 50% from 140,400 in comparable period in 2010. o 10 consecutive quarters of rising production measured by meters drilled. 4
  • 5. MINING INDUSTRY – POSITIVE OUTLOOK cont‟d • Exploration Expenditures o 2010 exploration expenditure reached US$12.1 billion (44% increase over 2009) o 2011 exploration spending on track for $17 billion, well above the 15 year historical average Source: MEG, Jennings Capital 5
  • 6. CORE BUSINESS: FRONTIER DRILLING MARKET; MINING • The Global Mining Industry is Facing a Major Supply/Demand Imbalance for Precious & Base Metals o Discoveries are becoming more difficult: 51 gold/copper porphyry discoveries of +3 million ounces during the 1990s, but only 24 of such discoveries occurred during the 2000s (Source: Frank Holmes, August 2011) o The deficit of frontier exploration for new mines over the last 20 years combined with the inherent impediments to new mine development is expected to sustain and drive pricing for the foreseeable future o This accelerating market dynamic has stimulated a significant increase in exploration programs focused on ‘greenfields’ projects 6
  • 7. CORE BUSINESS: FRONTIER DRILLING MARKET; MINING cont‟d • Mining Companies Faced with Drilling in Remote Locations & Areas with Increased Social & Environmental Factors o Major international mining companies are now exploring in more difficult terrains that were historically left to junior exploration companies o Only a few proven global service contractors can provide true mobile drilling services where conventional rig platforms are not suitable o Energold has significant growth potential using its highly portable rig platform that can deliver comparable depth capacity to its competitors utilizing conventional rig platforms (note – conventional rigs represent the vast majority of the current global supply of rigs).
  • 8. PROJECT EXAMPLES Dominican Republic Albania Peru Guinea 8
  • 9. OUR TECHNOLOGY • Modular Component Design o Easy transport globally and within country with quick turnaround times between rig setups. • Proprietary Technology o Depth capabilities of over 850m with ¼” more in core diameter using Thin Wall rod system. o Competitive portable rigs only reach depths between 200–300m BTW. • Rigs Built In-House o Ensures proprietary designs are not copied and we have the capability to drive further enhancements. o Continual upgrades are implemented from input of field personnel. 9
