Overpopulation and hunger are issues facing developing nations. There are two types of population control - destructive/preventative and viable. Destructive methods decrease birth rates through means like death, genocide, and withholding medical cures to study disease. Viable controls focus on education, family planning, birth control, and ensuring equal distribution of technology and tracking demographics. Around 1 billion people worldwide suffer from hunger, with 16,000 children dying daily from hunger-related causes. Hunger manifests as chronic undernourishment and vitamin deficiencies in countries with large populations that lack social safety nets.
