INTRODUCTION
JOB SATISFACTION
Human resource is considerer to be the most valuable asset in any organization. It is the sum-total
of inherent abilities, acquired knowledge and skills represented by the talents and aptitudes of the
employed persons who comprise executives, supervisors and the rank and file employees. It may
be noted here that human resource should be utilized to the maximum possible extent, in order to
achieve individual and organizational goals. It is thus the employee’s performance, which
ultimately decides, and attainment of goals. However, the employee performance is to a large
extent, influenced by motivation and job satisfaction
Job satisfaction survey can give the most valuable information the perceptions and causes. For
satisfaction/dissatisfaction among the employees attitude towards job satisfaction may be either
positive or negative. This positive feeling can be re-in forced and negative feelings can be
rectified. This survey can be treated as the most effective and efficient way, which makes the
workers to express their inner and real feelings undoubtedly

COMPANY PROFILE
 Ambuja Cements Ltd, a part of the global conglomerate LafargeHolcim, is
among the leading cement companies in India. Ambuja Cement has
provided hassle-free, home-building solutions with its unique sustainable
development projects and environment-friendly practices since it started
operations. Currently, Ambuja Cement has a cement capacity of 29.65
million tones with five integrated cement manufacturing plants and eight
cement grinding units across the country.
 The company has many firsts to its credit – a captive port with four
terminals that has facilitated timely, cost-effective, cleaner shipments of
bulk cement to its customers; its latest launch – Ambuja Plus Roof Special –
a special quality PPC cement with advanced SPE technology for concrete
that is denser and leak proof, resulting in strengthened roofs.
 Ambuja Cement is the industry leader in responsible use of resources,
both natural and man-made. The company also generates 4.6% of its
energy from renewable resources

Job satisfaction is important indicator of how employee feels about their job and predicator of work behavior such as
organization, citizenship, absenteeism turnover. Job satisfaction can partially mediate the relationship of personality
variable and deviant work behavior. Common research finding is that job satisfaction is correlated with life style. The
correlation is reciprocal meaning the people who are satisfied with the life tend sot is satisfied with their jobs and the
people who are satisfied their jobs trends to satisfied with their life. This is vital piece of information that is job
satisfaction and job performance is directly to one another. Thus it can be said that “a happy worker is a productive
worker.” It gives clear evidence that dissatisfied employee skip work more often and more like to resign and satisfied
worker likely to work longer with the organization.
Importance to Worker and Organization
Job satisfaction and occupational success are major factor in personal satisfaction self-respect self-esteem and self-
development to the worker job satisfaction brings a pleasurable emotional state that can often leads to a positive work
attitude. A satisfied worker is more likely to be creative flexible innovative and loyal. For the organization job
satisfaction of its workers means a work force that it is motivated and committed to high quality performance.
Increased productivity. The quality and quality of output per hour worked seems to be a byproduct of improved quality
of working life. It is important to note that the literature on the relationship between job satisfaction and productivity is
neither conclusive nor consistent. However studies dating back to Herzberg (1957) hace shown at least low correlation
between high morale and high productivity and it does seems logical that more satisfied workers will tend to add more
value to an organization. Job satisfiaction benefits the oranisation include reduction in complaints and grievances
,absebteesim, turnover and termination; as well as improved punctuality and worker morale . Job satisfaction is also
linked with a healthier work force and has been to be a good indicator of longevity

If ,job satisfaction is a worker benefit, surly the worker must be able to contribute to his or her own
satisfiaction and well being on the job. The following suggestion can help a worker find personal job
satisfiavtion seek opptunites to demonstrate skills and talents. This often leads to more challenging work
and greater responsibilities , with attendant increase in pay and other recognition. Develop excellent
communication skills employer value rewards excellent reading, listing writing and speaking skills Know
more . acquire new jobs realted knowledge that help you to perform tasks more effiently and effectively this
will boredam and often gets one noticed. Demonstrate creativity and initiative. Qualities like these are
valued by most organization and often results in reorganization as well as in increased responsibility and
rewards. Develop team work and people skills. A large part of job success is tenability to work well with
other to get the job done. Accept the diversity in people in people. Accept people with their difference and
their imperfections and learn how to give and receive critism constructively
See the value in your work. Appreciating the significance of what one does can lead to satisfaction with the
work itself. This help to give meaning to one existence thus playing a vital role in job satisfaction. Learn to
de stress. Plan to avoid burn out by developing healthy stress management techniques.

Factors of Job Satisfaction
Working condition
This includes workplace conditions , canteen facilites , rules and regulation .
Compensation
This includes the fund that we receive if the employee gets injured while working
in company.
Wages and salaries
The factors included all aspects of job involving present monitory remuneration
for work done.

Opportunities for advancement
It includes all aspects of job which individual sees as potential sources of
betterment of economic position/ organization status or professional experience.
Security
It is defined to include job situation which leads to assurance for continued
employment either within the same company or within same type of work
profession
Training and development
Training and development refers to the development of employees skills which
help them to achieve organization goals.

FINDINGS
By analyzing the data on research of employee 60 % of the respondents are satisfied by
the working condition of the organization. Whereas 38% of the employees are
dissatisfied by the working condition of the organization.
By doing research on employees of the organization 62% are satisfied with the
job security. In case of dissatisfaction 34% are dissatisfied with the job security
In case of salary and wages 67% of respondents are satisfied and 31% are
dissatisfied.
In compensation case the respondents are 57% are satisfied whereas 42 %
are dissatisfied
71% are satisfied with the opportunites of promotion and 19% are dissatisfied
with opportunites of promotion.

CONCLUSION
To conclude we can say that employees job satisfaction is very important part
of organization . Most of the employees are satisfied with the working
condition. Employees are satisfied with the training and development
programme which help the employees to improve working skills and help
them to achieve organization goals which is benefited for both Respondent and
company gives priority to the employees welfare.
Overall the Employees are satisfied with the working conditions of the
Ambuja Cement.

LIMITATIONS
 . The survey was conducted in 15-20 days which was a
constraint.
 Respondents are hesitating to answer.
 The sample size was limited to 60.

RECOMMENDATIONS
Need to focus more on training and development programme .
Need to design more attractive compensatition packages.
Increase in salary and compensation
