ZAMBIA
 More than 270,000 South Sudanese Refugees
affected and displaced by War in their Country
(South Sudan) are settled in Bidibidi Refugee
Settlement - Yumbe Uganda and more than 52.032
refugees from DRC Cross to Meheba in Zambia
 Vulnerable life in the Internally Displaced People’s
camps / Refugee Settlement with difficulties in
access to basic services ( Water, food, shelter,
clothing, health and education)
Children and youth in these areas never known peace
and how it feels or any kind of basic normal life
experienced by an average Ugandan and South Sudan
refugee
The future of the young ones have to be fought for!
Many cases of Early marriages and teenage
pregnancies is seen at the settlement .
High rate of GBV and Child Protection Cases reported.
The main source of livelihood is through the hand-outs
/NFI’s from the NGO’s ,UN or OPM-GOU.

BORN, EDUCATED AND GROOMED IN EASTERN UGANDA IN A TYPICAL RURAL HOME AT MALERA S/COUNTY , BUKEDEA DISTRICT  No running water or electricity and poor road network.  School fees raised from subsistence agriculture and small business enterprises  Shoes was a total luxury  School affected by war, LRA , Karamojong raiders and nearly abducted once  Managed to excel in education despite the difficulties and moved to the city for quality education.  And there my career path was clear

MY WORK ENVIRONMENT IN WAR TORN EASTERN/NORTHERN UGANDA AND REFUGEE SETTINGS IN WEST NILE AND IN MEHEBA - ZAMBIA  More than 270,000 South Sudanese Refugees affected and displaced by War in their Country (South Sudan) are settled in Bidibidi Refugee Settlement - Yumbe Uganda and more than 52.032 refugees from DRC Cross to Meheba in Zambia  Vulnerable life in the Internally Displaced People’s camps / Refugee Settlement with difficulties in access to basic services ( Water, food, shelter, clothing, health and education) Children and youth in these areas never known peace and how it feels or any kind of basic normal life experienced by an average Ugandan and South Sudan refugee The future of the young ones have to be fought for! Many cases of Early marriages and teenage pregnancies is seen at the settlement . High rate of GBV and Child Protection Cases reported. The main source of livelihood is through the hand-outs /NFI’s from the NGO’s ,UN or OPM-GOU.
